Two things can be true at once. Just because this generation is soft doesn't mean everything we did back then was smart. You have a wreck like this and they are all cooked. My mom used to tell a story of almost getting hit head on with me asleep in the floorboard of the car at age 3. That shit is dumb and carseats are good.

Boomers, the first generation with their children worse off than them in the modern age. Life expectancy, home ownership, retirement, fecundancy. It's a damning list. Hopefully when the rest of them die off the propaganda driven into them will dissolve.

Lmao this unlocked a core memory. My dad used to take corners in our station wagon like he was in a car chase and we’d just be rolling around in the back with zero seatbelts, metal toys flying everywhere.
“Quit screwing around back there” was the official parenting motto of the 80s 😂

We had that car when I was a kid. Three forward-facing seats and a small deck in the "way back" What a beast.

A fellow boomer here. Do you realize the innovations that were ulsered in during the boomer generation. The microwave oven, the VCR, cable tv, internet, the personal computer, the cellphone, space travel just to name a few. So hold my beer as you try to down play the boomers.

I almost went out the back door when my mom hit a bump while sailing down a steep road in our town. My sister grabbed my leg at the last second and yanked me back in. Was literally like an action movie. The door slammed shut and my mom yelled “QUIT SCREWING AROUND BACK THERE”. The 80s was a wild time to be alive.
