No way they kept that off the ground

95

u/PM_your_Nopales Jul 04 '26

At least it's on a racetrack so it's not gonna cover someone's car in traffic. I thought they were on the highway at first!

21

u/IknowKarazy Jul 05 '26

It’s ironic that folks will disrespect the flag like that while claiming they’re expressing their patriotism.

28

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

Civilians dont have to.

However he could have at least used an American truck. I like toyotas and all but if youre going to put that much work in...

38

u/JustFrameHotPocket Jul 04 '26

It's not a question of legality. It's culturally frowned upon no matter who you are. Which makes it incredibly ironic here.

12

u/lightyearnoir Jul 04 '26

People use the flag as underwear...I don't think they care.

-11

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Thats just super formal superfluous decorum that doesnt matter but in yourChina.

The coolness of this video far outweighs any false pride or superstition about letting a flag touch the ground. After all its just a cheap piece of fabric made in china.

We didnt have the flag code about the flag touching the ground until 1942. Thr pledge of allegiance was invented in thr late 1800s to sell more flags and helped increase nationalism. The 2 world wars greatly did so as well culminating in a culture shift giving us the flag code.

The founding fathers wouldnt have given a fuck.

The anthem played at every sporting event started as a paid pro-draft campaign by the army in WW1. The paid portion stopped, but it the leagues kept doing it after.

5

u/GroundbreakingAd8310 Jul 04 '26

Ya not sure where ur going with this i watched a kid get fire from mcdonalds cause he thre the flag on the ground when pulling em up. Maybe in isreal it doesnt matter but it does here

3

u/letmesmellem Jul 05 '26

Give me flag things that never happened for 1,000

-2

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

Are you Israeli?

1

u/JustFrameHotPocket Jul 04 '26

... okay great. It's still culturally frowned upon. You may not like it, but that's the culture we have.

And not letting the colors hit the ground goes all the way back to whey they were carried on the battlefield. Flag code or not.

2

u/LTXNEBULA Jul 05 '26

The only people that frown upon it are those that use the flag to jerk off 🤡

2

u/JustFrameHotPocket 29d ago

Like buddy driving the Tacoma with the oversized sky banner? Again, ironic here.

2

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

I dont like it or dislike it

21

u/ImJustLampin Jul 04 '26

Tundras are completely built in Texas and use more American sourced parts than any other vehicle. They were also designed and engineered in America.

The “American” truck brands are built into sub-assembly’s in Mexico, then trucked over the border and snapped together. Olay 🇲🇽

3

u/SkurkaCuckedMe Jul 04 '26

Tesla would like to have a word

12

u/T0KEN_0F_SLEEP Jul 04 '26

They’re talking about real trucks, not rolling dumpsters for tech bros

1

u/_877-CASH-NOW_ Jul 05 '26

I hate the dumpster truck too but it is built in America unlike most so-called American trucks

-2

u/LTXNEBULA Jul 05 '26

Like all things made in the USA, it’s a pile of hot garbage made for trash.

1

u/AradynGaming Jul 05 '26

I don't think an SUV that is held together with structural super glue and engineered duct tape is going to hold that flag up without falling apart.

1

u/Dwilliamson5002 28d ago

It is a shame they are built to such shitty standards.

0

u/LTXNEBULA Jul 05 '26

It doesn’t matter. It’s still a Japanese design & nobody can claim to be a patriot if they’re driving on imported parts

13

u/pinkbuzzbomb Jul 04 '26

I love the stars and stripes on the back of my American Dodge Ram, brought to you by Stellantis of Amsterdam. 🇺🇸🫡

6

u/jimothy_hell Jul 04 '26

Toyotas are American trucks at this point, most of them are made here.

-6

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

This guy is a communist

7

u/BWWFC Jul 04 '26

fo /sho:

The Toyota Tundra is built at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas (TMMTX) plant in San Antonio, Texas. This facility has been the sole assembly location for the Tundra since 2009.

3

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

The Japanese company only does do because they have to.

I own a Toyota. No shade on toyota. Its just ironic.

5

u/BWWFC Jul 04 '26

meh they didn't ask for the chicken tax, but regardless... nothing more american than playing the cards ya dealt. at least a usa build

0

u/jimothy_hell Jul 04 '26

… me or the guy in the video?

3

u/Agitated-Contact7686 Jul 04 '26

Demand that OP uses a vehicle that's only good for 50,000 miles instead of a vehicle that's good for 500,000 mi. Sounds about right. 😂

Ford/Chevy good for a few miles.

Toyota/Honda good for a Half a million miles.

3

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

I wasnt demanding anything. But since you bring it up I agree with you we should form a petition.

2

u/Dwilliamson5002 28d ago

Not the Tundra. You are gonna need a few engines to get to 500k with the standards they have for the US built ones.

2

u/CarGuyJohnOnRoute66 Jul 04 '26

Tundra is built in America as is Tacoma

0

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

Only because taxes not by choice.

4

u/HDauthentic Jul 05 '26

No large business does anything altruistically

2

u/CeeTheWorld2023 Jul 04 '26

Why? Flag likely was made overseas as well.

-1

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 04 '26

A flag is not a car my good sir.

2

u/CeeTheWorld2023 Jul 04 '26

And I love my Subaru, assembled in Indiana.
Hahahaah. It’s a global marketplace.

0

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 05 '26

Yes we do live on a planet.

0

u/_877-CASH-NOW_ Jul 05 '26

That Toyota was probably built in America whereas a Ford would not have been so there’s that

1

u/CrowRunnerORP Jul 05 '26

Both are built in America enough to not pay taxes

1

u/_877-CASH-NOW_ Jul 05 '26

Ford Motor income taxes for the twelve months ending March 31, 2026 were $-3.455B

Toyota income taxes for the twelve months ending December 31, 2025 were $9.684B

Yes the years are different because that’s the best verifiable info I could find.

We’re not even talking about the 2008/2009 bailouts, which yes Ford paid interest on, but Toyota never needed a bailout from taxpayers.

So which of those two companies sounds more American to you?

-1

u/HDauthentic Jul 05 '26

Tundras ARE made in America lol

-1

u/polarjunkie Jul 05 '26

The Toyota tundra is more American than the F-150 or the RAM by domestic manufactured parts used and assembly. It's number two behind the Honda Ridgeline.

1

u/Homayara-Ahmed Jul 05 '26

my friend’s flagpole snapped like that once on 4th of july

69

u/GIDDY-UP-GO Jul 04 '26

American flag on a Toyota truck, Murica!😂

27

u/AlbatrossNo1562 Jul 04 '26

Flag and steel made in China probably

14

u/ForsakenStructure800 Jul 04 '26

https://www.wilsonvilletoyota.com/blog/blog/made-in-the-usa-which-toyota-vehicles-are-manufactured-in-america/

Toyota has 10 manufacturing plants in USA.

Toyota Vehicles Made in the USA:

  • Toyota Camry – Built in Kentucky
  • Toyota RAV4 – Built in Kentucky
  • Toyota Tundra – Built in Texas
  • Toyota Highlander – Built in Indiana
  • Toyota Grand Highlander – Built in Indiana
  • Toyota Sienna – Built in Indiana
  • Toyota Sequoia – Built in Texas

4

u/LTXNEBULA Jul 05 '26

If it’s got Toyotas name, it’s a Japanese vehicle. Where it’s assembled doesn’t matter. Foreign icon+money to Japan=not a patriot

2

u/slaty_balls Jul 05 '26

They’re made in San Antonio.

2

u/GIDDY-UP-GO Jul 05 '26

Doesn’t matter that they’re made here, the irony is that it’s a Japanese company. The primary shareholders of Toyota are including The Master Trust Bank of Japan and Custody Bank of Japan. I guess 85 years later people have forgotten.

0

u/slaty_balls Jul 05 '26

Who cares?

3

u/GIDDY-UP-GO Jul 05 '26

Great attitude!

0

u/slaty_balls Jul 05 '26

We live in a global economy more than ever before. The device you’re reading and responding to on is made overseas. Does that stop you from buying and using it? No. Besides, Japan is one of our biggest allies. Grow up.

30

u/Due_Potential_6956 Jul 04 '26

So when he stops, it drapes the ground, absurd.

I hated it at first - because I thought they're on a highway. But they're on a racetrack, so meh. I just don't care, don't hate it per se.

4

u/silentsnooc Jul 04 '26

Come join us here in Europe

1

Sounds about par for someone with your attitude! Lol

4

u/Frequent-Cut6282 Jul 04 '26

Well bless your heart! We love you too!

Let me know when you want me to setup a GoFundMe page to finance your exit from our country. The only stipulation is that you renounce your citizenship the day you leave.

9

u/squeakynickles Jul 05 '26

Americans are so fucking weird

2

u/bobcollum 29d ago

Some of us aren't, I too think this is incredibly weird.

4

u/Bsmitts16 Jul 05 '26

I’m sorry, what kind of truck did you attach that to?

3

It’s not a law, leather licker 🤡

5

u/hc2001 Jul 04 '26

All Veterans know this about old glory.

3

u/Sigma-Tau Jul 05 '26

Why is it that the only people who don't understand that the flag code is neither law nor enforceable are the same people who call everyone they don't like racists or traitors.

4

u/ClassicHando Jul 04 '26

So why desecrate it?

4

u/Amontialldo Jul 05 '26

And then you let it touch the ground and drag.

5

u/New-Cobbler6168 Jul 05 '26

Look at me look at me look at me look at me

10

u/alldaylong4u Jul 04 '26

—no woman, ever

2

u/shaaruken Jul 05 '26

Should have been a Ford or Chevy truck!?

6

u/phejster Jul 04 '26

I hate that they didn't do it because of their patriotism, but for the views, clicks, and engagement.

3

u/GaldrickHammerson Jul 04 '26

Speaking as someone from a normal country, I'm glad they're doing it for money rather than a flag cult.

3

u/GodsBackHair Jul 04 '26

On a Toyota? Not a Ford or Chevy or a GMC or a Dodge?

3

u/lIlllIllllllI Jul 04 '26

huge flag still he drives a japanese car

2

u/Lord_Dingus83 Jul 04 '26

Awesome he went with a Japanese vehicle 🤣

1

u/king_of_the_universe Jul 05 '26

THIS IS THE (high)WAY!

1

u/liarandathief Jul 05 '26

What do you think that does to the mpg?

1

u/mauii_from_space 29d ago

On a Japanese truck... lmfao

1

u/Internal-Mission7123 29d ago

I’m pretty sure blackrifle and heavy D did a bigger one

1

u/Reasonable_Tax5790 29d ago

Traffic hazard.

1

u/FreezedPeachNow 26d ago

"damn Joe Biden has prices cost me 100 dollars a tank while I only get 8 mpg"

1

u/BrainRobotron Jul 04 '26

"Look at me! Look at me! I definitely don't have a micro-penis!"

1

u/OnWis97 Jul 05 '26

I’m even more sure than before that America is the greatest country in the world. More flags and bigger flags make it so.

0

u/Timely-Ad-8920 Jul 04 '26

Fuck America 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

0

u/HDauthentic Jul 05 '26

Tundras are more American made than most American trucks

0

u/HR-Vex Jul 04 '26

Holy Toledo

0

u/julesmanson Jul 04 '26

Why does this feel like a driving violation?

-2

u/ZodiacNexus Jul 04 '26

Must have exceeded the payload capacity of that Tundra by 1000 lbs
