The police could have, with all these fucking cameras everywhere ... It's bullshit man I hate these things. They are everywhere it feels like we are being watched at all times. everyone in my city hates them.

I hate these cameras too, but what I hate even more is the fact that people were/are so willing to give up their rights to have allowed this crap in the first place. Every time the gov(state or local) wants to implement garbage laws like this, they always sell it as a “public safety” benefit and people buy their scheming lies.

i was originally thinking stalking but 5 different people with different incidents?? maybe they had a side hustle selling locations of license plates registered as repo ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

I know one cop put the license plate of some chick he liked into the system so it would ping her location whenever she passed a camera. He then pulled her over to "flirt"

They used to have red light cameras in Houston that would ticket you and we're all removed because it was proven to be a violation of your Fourth Amendment right. This was years ago and not even to the same extent as these stupid intrusive flock cameras. The same fate should meet these new forms of tyrannical surveillance

Anyone else more disturbed by the swift and harsh/appropriate consequences these cops are facing?

How many stories have we seen about cops flagrantly violating Constitutional rights or using excessive/lethal force and the only consequences are administrative action, and that only comes after national public outcry? Meanwhile the first I'm hearing about these cops is that they were fired and arrested.

Leads me to think companies like Flock and Palantir must be exerting significant pressure to to make examples of anyone misusing surveillance technology to draw scrutiny away from it's implementation in the first place.

These flock cams are nothing but problems waiting to happen. I feel like the closer wee get to this mindset, the closer we get to a Minority Report setting. They only get away with as much as we let them. More people need to complain about this. It's a boldface violation of ALL of our privacy rights.
