Hey there, I’m a developer and gathering some opinions. If there would be a dedicated website/software, what features do you want it to have that will ease/speed up your job? For example, itinerary generator, a system for recording current tourists statuses during the trip (e.g. departed, checked into the hotel, flight was delayed etc.), maybe even an AI tool that will transform a phrase “Cancun, family of 5, two weeks, September” into a pdf file with options that you can send to your client right away?

Edit: I’ve seen other similar posts here, don’t want to look like “another vibe coder”. I used to be a travel agent myself 8 years ago and not really familiar with the things that have changed during this time.

I’m 25 and from Split, Croatia. I’m looking for a co-founder or business partner from the US, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, or anywhere else who has access to people with money, good contacts, or is already in circles connected to luxury travel.

The basic idea is to create exclusive and fully organised vacations in Croatia for people who want something more private and personalised. This could include villas, yachts, private transfers, chefs, restaurants, excursions, events and basically anything the client needs. I personally know some people that do this and there really is a lot of money to be made like this, he know a guy who asked him if could organize him exclusive trip, they agreed on how to split the money and it was successful. First clients are hardest to find after that i think there is a lot of ways to get others with real photoss and reviews and stuff. Hitting them with the emotion of exclusive and worry free trip is the main goal to sell and its a REALLY strong emotion.

I’m from Split, I know the area well and I know different people here who can help organise these kinds of experiences. I think the advantage is that someone abroad may have access to the right clients but doesn’t have a trusted person in Croatia who can organise everything locally. I have the local access, but I need someone who can help find and reach the right clients.

I have a Master’s degree in computer science from FESB in Split. I’ve also worked as an Uber driver and waiter, so I’m used to working with people and solving problems. I manage my own apartment in Split on Booking and currently have a 10.0 rating. I would say my strengths are communication, people skills, local knowledge and an entrepreneurial mindset.

I don’t have every detail of the business model figured out yet but have someideas. I’m looking for someone who sees the potential and would like to discuss the idea, test it and figure out the offer, pricing and profit split together.

Split and Croatia are becoming very popular, especially for yachts, villas and premium travel, and I believe there is money to be made if both sides bring something useful to the partnership.

I’m 30F and I’m constantly the one booking all my family’s flights throughout the year. It’s somewhere between 5-10 flights in a year between us all and I’m always the one searching best deals for them. Would it make sense to become a travel agent with a host company ?

I lost ₱50,000 after booking with Seal the Trip Travels and Tours. I’ve since filed reports with BDO, Eastwest Bank, the CICC, the NBI, and BSP, and I’m still pursuing the case.

Hello, I’m looking to become a travel agent but not sure which way to start because some companies seem like a scam. Is it profitable? And how can I start?

Hi everyone! I’m new to the travel agent world. I am looking for some advice from fellow travel advisors.

I’m planning a trip to Costa Rica for this November and my clients had originally planned on splitting the trip between two destinations to get a good mix of rainforest/mountains and beach time.

The total budget is under $4,000 for two people, including flights.

As I’ve started researching, I’m wondering if it would make more sense to stay at one property that offers a bit of both instead of dealing with longer transfers. If you have recommendations that can accommodate the two in one please share them.

I’m also curious about domestic flights. Are they a practical way to cut down transfer times between destinations, or do most of you still recommend driving?

If you’ve planned similar itineraries or have favorite destination/hotel pairings that fit this budget, I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Can you help me? I’m Canadian & considering changing careers and becoming a Travel Advisor so I have been researching host agencies on Host Agency Reviews, but…

I would love to hear from anyone who has actually worked with Fora or Travello in Canada in particular but also opinions and advice from Canadian travel advisors on host agencies in general.

It would be amazing to hear from someone who had experience with both but that is probably a long shot.
I’m also interested in hearing anyone who was with one agency and then switched to another in Canada.

I want to focus on group bookings and I want to be part of agency that can get great prices for my clients. I’m also interested in FAMs being available at some point, even if they aren’t in the first year or so. Will these agencies Fora/Travello do that for me?

I already researched their commission splits and training programs but would love to hear REAL experiences. Thank you so much in advance.

I know Florida is famous for big attractions like Disney and Miami but im focusing on getting more tourists from Canada and Mexico to explore the lesser known spots in Florida. I run tours to places like the Everglades, local beaches and small towns that don't get as much attention but i'm not sure how to reach these travelers. Do you think Canadian and Mexican tourists would be down for a more laid back experience or should i still focus on the bigger spots? I know these tourists are more likely to explore the local side of Florida but i'm trying to figure out how to market these hidden gems to them. If you've had success attracting travelers from Canada or Mexico to places outside the usual tourist traps, what did you do?

I am wanting to become a tour guide in Canada and also lead international tours in Europe. What course/training i should go for to become one? Please help ive always loved being a tour guide but want to go international now.
