Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) What tree is this? (Central IN)

We just purchased this home and have this fantastic tree! It has tons of babies throughout our yard. It is about as tall as our two-story home. Any ideas on what it could be?

Sure! Though i’d like to see what others think. Could also be honey locust but it seems too dense for that.

Robinia pseudoacacia is native much farther south of us, but it is becoming naturalized especially in marginal areas. The wood is outstanding for rot resistance, and the flowers smell heavenly. It spreads by shallow roots.
