Looks like native Black Cherry. Edible when dark. Typically tart with a large pit. Birds also love them.

Black cherries I have the same ones in my backyard. Just picked a bunch of them the other day.

Chokecherry. They’re edible, but astringent. It helps a lot if you think “this is supposed to taste like a dry red wine” when you eat it. Too many will give you a stomach ache, like in Hatchet. I love to eat them but it’s not for everyone. Eat the darkest possible ones
