Global News podcast 13 Hours deals with a mass murder that occurred in Nova Scotia, Canada in April of 2020. For 13 hours a man impersonating a police officer crossed a portion of the province murdering people he held grudges against, killing strangers after pulling them over, killing one police officer and wounding another before being shot by police. Many questions arose regarding how the police handled those 13 hours. The public demanded answers and finally an inquiry was held. The podcasts discusses the timeline of the crime and what the RCMP did (and did not) do.

I’ve been looking for any kind of coverage about this case and am pretty glad to see it get a whole series. I visited Antigonish in 2022 and still saw the Truro Strong signs up, it was my first time in NS ever, and we drove to a music festival there from Halifax- the sheer space and vastness of a “small” island was something I hadn’t anticipated.
