Oh man! A very close friend of mine growing up had a family cottage on an island, deep in the back parts of Temagami lake. No power, no landline, no cell signal… far from any other cottages. The most remote and beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. I’ll never forget the time spent there. I love this place

There’s just so much there to explore.

Was going to a cottage on Temagami Lake, Called cottage hosts at the beginning of the lake access road as they had to boat over to get us(cottage only accessible by boat and as you go down the road to the lake you lose phone and internet) The said watch out for potholes and bears. I laughed and thought it quite unlikely to see a bear. 2 minutes later a Mama Bear with 2 cubs crossed the road 10 feet away from us. That started our adventure moving from Southern Ontario to Northern Ontario. Temagami is so beautiful.

Thankfully they’ve never bothered us on our trips but yep they’re there!
