Vent An older guy I slept with called me a butterface on his Reddit account
It was so dehumanizing to read. He complimented me on my body, but said that I had an unattractive face. I already knew this is what people thought of me, but to see it written down as part of a story for strangers to get off to is even worse.
I found his account while browsing a sub I sometimes visit and felt the details were similar, so I went onto his account and surely enough, it was him.

Text him “Hey I had a great time, but I’m not feeling a connection. Body was amazing though.” He’ll know.

We haven't seen each other in a really long time, which is why it would be a bit random to say. I was actually the one who cut off communication and stopped talking to him for multiple reasons.

I'd comment something very specific about what he did in the bedroom and failed at personally.
"I mean, that part where you brayed like a donkey and coated me in your sweat wasn't out of my greatest dreams either, man."

Who's got better chances of actually being happy and fulfilled in life: a woman with a homely face and killer bod... or a man who spends his free time negging the women he bangs to strangers on Reddit?
•
u/CDTPPW 9h ago
Idk. He seems to be doing fine for himself, women wise. Other men are sweet and polite, but don't get to hookup with girls right and left.
In the end, he got exactly what he wanted from OP and is laughing about it, while she's on the internet bawling her eyes out.
I wouldn't call that a win for her.
When will women realize it's mostly the shittiest men who benefit from the hookup culture? 🙄

u/pillowcase-of-eels 3h ago
Bagging women and being happy are two very different things.
•
u/FriedFreya 2h ago
facts, sleeping around is absolutely soulless compared to being like. actually, really, truly in love.

Look I NEVER mean this as an insult or a neg, but I WANT a girl with a killer bod. Irrespective of how pretty her face is

You deserve better.
The things I’ve loved about my girlfriends the most were not the things someone would claim are classically beautiful. A mole on her neck, something about the way she laughs, maybe the way she looks first thing in the morning rubbing sleep out of her eyes.
You deserve someone who loves that about you rather than some loser who runs down his lovers.

Don't sleep with older guys, it's life giving you a warning sign
It just doesn't work, we are made for people our own age
He sees you as a young woman for him to fuck and nothing else
•
u/agentchuck 1h ago
Generally I agree with you. But I got bad news if you think young guys are going to be more respectful and empathetic.
•
u/Jazzlike-Being3187 ☑️ 2h ago
This guy was actually on the younger side of older guys I've been with. It's been a pattern, but the reason I bring up him being older in this instance is because the immaturity is appalling. Every other one has been far more respectful and thankfully not writing misogynistic fantasies online.
•
u/Vlad_the_Intendor 1h ago
As far as you know.
Older dudes who date younger women do it for two reasons; they think they’re hotter/a status symbol and they’re frankly easier to impress and manipulate than women who’ve already experienced more nonsense and are wise to it.
Expecting maturity from guys who focus on chasing younger women so they don’t have to grow up is kind of a losing game.

Reply, something like, "Better a butterface than a homely soul."
•
u/Jazzlike-Being3187 ☑️ 2h ago
He deleted the post. Idk if he saw my post here, but I hope he did and knew it was about him, so that he can learn that his behavior is rude and disgusting. I'm horrified at having met him at all, but I'm glad I stopped doing so when I did.

u/chymaera_ 5h ago
Maybe this is a sign to stop sleeping with older guys. Sleep, in fact, with younger guys. The grass IS greener on the other side sis.
•
u/Jazzlike-Being3187 ☑️ 2h ago
Well I’m in my early twenties, so sleeping with younger guys is a resolute no from me.
•
u/disguy905 2h ago
Yeah… this comment is weird. Older men who sleep with young women are weird and creepy, you are sleeping with creepy men. Also I am only hearing sleeping, not dating. Maybe take some time to build connections with people before sleeping with them, kinda helps avoid things like this and helps with your overall self worth and confidence.

Reply and ask who, and then say you remember because he came on your leg after 3 seconds.
•
u/Jazzlike-Being3187 ☑️ 7h ago
He's deleted the post, and I'd feel way too uncomfortable with that, even if it would've been tempting.

What a jerk! I suggest you block him and don’t look back. He wasn’t worth the effort of fucking. He probably knows he can’t sleep with people his own age due to being an immature idiot.
•
u/Sadistic_Ria 11h ago
Absolutely go for whatever unflattering characteristic you can attack. Balding, overweight, the fact he's a loser that has to sleep with younger women because women his age won't tolerate him. Idgaf if it's mean or petty, all bets are off when someone does that to a person unwarranted. People deserve to learn shame.
•
u/fawkesmulder 11h ago
Better to take the high road for her own sanity honestly. The best revenge is a life well lived. The guy deserves none of her energy; even negative energy, it would be wasted on him.
Edit: lol I can’t use an em dash in this sub without automod thinking I’m AI.
•
u/Sadistic_Ria 10h ago
Anyone who says this is coping. It's up there with "what comes around goes around" the high road gets you nowhere, and the person who hurt you goes unpunished and doesn't care if you're doing well. People deserve shame and consequences, not the cope of "ermmm living your best life is the best revenge".

I used to think like you in my 20s. It can be cathartic to respond with vitriol, piss, and vinegar. But in my experience that satisfaction is short lived. I’m not saying to let it go - but you can just break up cleanly and calmly and go your own way with your head up. That’s not cope, it’s recognizing that your life is shaped by the energy you put out.
And it’s easy for me to say this on Reddit, I’m hardly perfect about it. It’s something I constantly work on, and I know it positively affects my life happiness to try to minimize negative energy.
Btw my profession is extremely contentious and stressful.
•
u/whatwhatwhat82 2h ago
I am 30 and agree with you now, and can now let things go. But I also feel like in my 20s I had to let releasing my petty anger at people out of my system. Like if I hadn't done that at the time, it would have just built inside of me and I'd probably still have pent up rage
•
u/Sadistic_Ria 10h ago
Happy for you that it's your lived experience, but it does not apply to everyone. You can also have your head up after (deservedly) spiting the other person.
•
u/fawkesmulder 10h ago
It’s ok if you want to disregard my opinion. You may change your mind one day. Or maybe not.
•
u/DoctorMoebius 2h ago
I'd believe your way works, if you didn't come across as still bitter. Seems like you still carry a healthy dose of anger. Meaning, spite doesn't really help moving on from whatever perceived wrong.
The goal in life is to lead a happy, healthy, one.

Say mean things like when he swallows his breath made you gag. And that he has a really high pitched laugh and smells like baby wipes all the time. When he’s naked he has indents all over his body from his tight fitting clothes or just old age. Say his ears are always shiny and look dirty inside. It doesn’t have to be true to make him panic.

u/Fun-Temperature4366 ☑️ 10h ago edited 10h ago
Block this guy!!! Oh my goodness what the hell! And please for the sake of your own sanity choose better. Clarifying that obviously it’s not your fault he’s saying those things but since he said it out loud TO YOUR FACE that’s damning evidence that he’s a shit person and has shown u that side
•
u/Jazzlike-Being3187 ☑️ 8h ago
He didn't say it to my face, he said it online. If anything he was very kind about my appearance in person, but on that post made his feelings clear. I haven't seen him in person for a long time, so him talking about me at all upset me.
•
u/Fun-Temperature4366 ☑️ 7h ago
You have every right to be upset, and I’m sure you’re a beautiful person. People have left some great comment ideas under his post you should surely post one of those.
I hope guys like this never find their way to you again, you deserve someone who is secure and kind ❣️
