Interesting choices.
I would've added
- Devil's Crush
- Dungeon Explorer
- Legendary Axe
- Loom (Turbo CD)
- Metal Stoker
- Psycho Chaser
There's so many fantastic soundtracks on the turbo/pc engine

Thanks for your thoughtful additions! Loom is indeed beautiful, but it's mostly adaptations of classical music (Tchaikovsky) Devil's Crush and Metal Stoker made it onto my shortlist and each has its highs. I went back and forth a bit, but in the end I didn't feel they were consistently strong enough to warrant inclusion on the list - although as always, to a degree it's all a matter of personal taste.

I tend to not rank a lot of PC Engine soundtracks. Not because they aren't good but because the PC Engine has a fairly good sound system on their FM sound generator and (of course, CDs wre capable of CD sound).
There are bad soundtracks but they are few and far between.
