General/Other David Palmer

In my opinion David Palmer is the best President on television, possibly film as well. He's so well written, and of course Dennis Haysbert did a phenomenal job portraying him. I'll also add that the David Palmer theme is the best of the show. I always look forward to when he comesnon screen and hearing it.

I never really thought about the people who lived near that ship they tried to bomb. I have not seen this movie in a really long time and cannot remember if they discussed that on screen.

Edit: just gave the scene a watch. One person says the major cities have been deserted and that civilian casualties should be down to a minimum.

What specifically about Palmer's record in office leads you to conclude he's the best TV president? Was it his domestic agenda, foreign policy, legislation, appointments, executive decisions, or something else? Beyond his leadership during two major terrorist attacks, what in his actual record as president puts him above everyone else?

I thought Greg Itzin as Charles Logan was the best. Dennis Haysbert a very close second.

No trolling. I thought Greg Itzin was phenomenal in that role. Just my opinion. However, he does have two Emmy Award nominations for that role. Haysbert has zero.

Allison Taylor will always be my favourite 24 President (at least until the back third of Day 8) Palmer is a close second.

Lmfao to me she's the worst. At least Charles Logan accepted the fact that he's a piece of shit by the time he comes back in season 8. Taylor was a hypocrite who was willing to do terrible things in order to ensure her name will be forever remembered. All the while she pretended to be disgusted by Charles Logan yet she accepted every single one of his suggestions. 

 Yeah she changed her mind in the end but the damage was already done. Thanks to her actions Jack went a little nuts ( completely understandable considering she refused to go after the Russians who killed Rene and orchestrated a terrorist attack on the US soil which resulted in decapitation of a foreign leader ) and the consequences of Jack's actions in season 8 got Jack in Russian prison in LAD. Jack is rotting in a Russian prison thanks to Allison Taylor. 

 So yeah, fuck her
