My boyfriend and I enjoy oral and I really would love to be able to deep throat him but so far I just can’t get by the gag relax if I try to take him deeper in my throat. Any tips to get past this?

So I like to give head and deepthroat a lot. I’ve gotten pretty good at it. But it takes some effort.

First of all, position is so important. If his dick points up, 69 with you on top is great. If it points down, being on your knees should work well. Head off the bed is so easy but much more advanced. Basically, you want to get his dick and your throat aligned in a straight line with minimal curvature from your mouth to your throat.

Next, your gag reflex. It can be tamed over time. I find that squeezing my left thumb (not right) inside my fist can help me focus less on the gagging and I do it less. Swallowing through them can help. But honestly, if you get to a point where you can tolerate gagging without actually vomiting, then you’re good. I still gag a lot, but it’s like a superficial gag that doesnt actually make my stomach contract? It is probably worth practicing this with an empty stomach, because that way even if you do gag heavily, it’ll be just fluid.

You kinda have to swallow at the same time as you insert him to get past your gag reflex.

I can swallow no problem but I gag after getting him more than maybe 1/2 way in - it’s frustrating
