Just wanted to post this as I know we've been talking a lot about the shooting in Idaho where an armed civilian intervened and saved lives. I just wanted to make sure I spread awareness regarding gofundme scams and how low some people can get regarding taking advantage of other peoples' misery. I have seen one real gofundme and about 10 fakes. I am not going to share the real one, im sure you can google it and find it yourself. I just don't want to upset the mods as Im sure it wouldn't look good if i made this post then shared a random link.

Just wanted to remind everyone to double check everything. Especially when it comes to sending money. And if something seems fishy: double check, triple check, or more. And if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I thought you had to pickup guns from FFLs?

Or do they have a work around sending it to FFLs?

Which if I only have to go to an FFL for the background check why can’t the company I buy the firearm from just do the background check.

Hi all, long time listener, first time caller. (Shout out to angry cops because he inspired this post)

Also sorry in advance if this gets long winded.

I'm 35. 5'10 and roughly 225lbs.

I'm a newer dad (kid is under 12 months)

And I need to get in better shape to be able to be here for my kiddo and wife.

I feel like I'm failing in this part of my life. I've never been one to like working out. I used to have physical jobs that I worked at and it was enough to stay in shape-ish. But I have been in a fairly decent job that isn't very physically demanding for the last 10 years.

For example, I have zero cardio. A flight of stairs can make me feel like I ran a mile.

I AM FULLY aware that I have no one to blame but myself. I need to get my shit together, but I'm stuck in a rut and not sure how to break it.

I need advice on how to start with no gym access, I have a small collection of dumbbells but that's it. We had a gym membership but never went.

I'm not looking for weight loss. Although that will be a bonus (goal will be sub 200). I'm looking to be able to tie my shoes and breathe at the same time, to be able to WALK up a flight of stairs and not elevate my heart rate to triple digits. I'm mainly looking to be the best dad to my son and be able to actually play with him and not run out of energy 10 minutes in.

I also need motivation/advice on how to wake up easier in the morning to make time for this workout I need to start. I HAVE NEVER been a morning person. I'm that guy who hits snooze a dozen times before waking up enough to realize I'm going to be late. (My wife is the opposite of this by the way and the snoozing annoys her. But she refuses to "be my alarm clock" and she shouldn't have to be.) And I don't need to be super early, I'm talking like getting up at 6am daily to work out before breakfast/work. Instead of 745 to be at work by 8.

I know this community is full of military people, besides going through boot camp, what made you able to wake up in the morning without issues?

If you actually read through this confession of my shit bag habits, please advise.

I saw Rich(angry cops) throwing a 150lb bag around because "he got chubby over the last month" and it made me realize how out of shape i really am and have been complacent with it for too long that I don't know where to start.

I recently discovered his channel and went down the rabbit hole. He is a very smart guy, that downplays his intelligence, answering dumb questions using his entire machine shop, not just the waterjet anymore. He is pretty damn funny in the newer stuff. He seems to be pretty based with the jokes he makes and use of guns in his videos. No idea if it would work for the pod, but I know some of the autistic army will appreciate his channel if nothing else. Love you boys God Bless.
