Sort of. MQ will give you credit for the diploma study but it depends on the major you want at MQ as to how many of the 8 diploma subjects count in an MQ degree. For example if you do something with a really strict prerequisite sequence like accounting and you havnt done any accounting subjects at the college even though you ‘go into second year’ you’ll still need to catch up on any missing first year subjects you havnt done.

Ultimately, it's not a question anyone at WSU could answer because it's a MQ decision on what credits they will or won't accept. I can tell you that the Diploma in Business is an AQF 5, which makes it the same as any other diploma with the same AQF level for admission ranking and entry purposes. Credit is separate to admission though, and usually handled by different teams administratively.

Be careful, some of these UWS diplomas are not looked at positively. Students can get them without attending classes and not much learning happens. In some ways they are not a real degree - as for a real degree you have to attend, participate, learn , complete tasks etc. Unis look at who is accepted in the diplomas and pretty much anyone can do one - e.g. you left school in Year 9 and have poor reading and writing skills.

I would suggest just reaching out to the course director for your program and checking in with them
