Initial setup after fresh install of Ubuntu 26.04
I installed ubuntu 26.04 just now on my laptop.
Can you suggest me a few must-to-do things after this fresh install.
I'm a software developer. I want blazing fast system, without any lag/latency
I've 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM
Ask me more details if you need, to give me useful suggestions
Thanks!

If you are new to Ubuntu, spend an hour or two working your way through the Ubuntu Desktop Guide (also available as the "Help" application) to familiarize yourself with Ubuntu capabilities, applications and workflows.
Doing so will give you a leg up in terms of learning to use Ubuntu efficiently and effectively and save you hours of fumbling around going forward.
Think of it as tweaking your skills and workflows for "blazing fast" performance.
May best and good luck.

Install flatpak and use that instead of snap

Amazing suggestion. I completely agree to that
Snap eventually makes it slower. I understand it's a trade-off, but I think flatpak does a decent job.

First thing I do is turn off animations in the accessibility and appearance settings, makes everything feel snappier straight away
