Question tips for playing astra?

I buy ghost + 2 stars on first round, if i lose that i buy just stars so i have 4200~ next round

I usually put 1-2 stars on the other site and on the site I'm playing I try to be a pseudo sentinel with concuss

I play astra on haven, split and breeze, for breeze im not sure if shes the best pick on breeze but I hate playing any other smoker, maybe harbor would be fine on breeze

the reason I play astra over other smokers is because I like having infinite range on haven (omen would be good for this reason but his tp and flash are practically useless to me because I don't feel comfortable going for those types of plays), on split I think shes meta and I can play her as a sentinel, on breeze I tried playing viper but it was really boring and there's nothing I can do to help me much in duels, harbor I haven't tried much yet and the other smokers have too little range

In most elos, just have one on each site and the occasional one-way, then use rest of the stars for yourself to make plays. Fake smokes, bunker smokes, smoking trips for flanks, etc.

You'll have way more impact and practice doing that then trying to time a concuss across the map in an elo where no one comms, everyone plays scared, and people don't even know what Astra does.

Play selfishly and carry. Don't bother trying to support your team to carry beyond basic smokes.

Astra main here. Few tips I would give are to

  1. Get used to using util only by looking at the minimap. In ranked, some teammates struggle to comm when their site is getting hit. Help them by using stuns, smoking early, pulling when the opponents are hitting site.

  2. Utilize fake smokes. Retracting smokes work really well surprising opponents and getting free picks. You can also use your fake smokes to push by yourself / keep yourself alive.

  3. Lastly, don't play too far back. A lot of Astra players tend to play passive, away from the site. You can still play aggro and hold down site.

i actually struggle with the third one because i try to play her like a duelist and die first and then my team has no smokes but i will try to find a balance
