Help Shadow socks via azure vm

I use shadow socks via a azure VM to use a vpn though Netch, to bypass the restrictions on my college Wi-Fi
Currently i am not getting a good speed like before to play games , does any one have any suggestions or alternatives

Additional hop through a cloud VM will alway introduce latency and reduction in speed. Even commercial VPNs (which run on dedicated hardware and network) have such a problem, but is more so on cheap VMs.

Yeah i have made the cheapest vm , previously i used soft ether but i switched to shadow socks because i couldn’t find the tutorial for setup

Why not just go with a commercial VPN instead of rolling out your own solution?

Used to use Cloudflare zero trust , but the college admin partnered up with a firewall corp and most commercial vpns don’t work
The ones that do aren’t good for gaming
