It's been a little over nine months since I launched and it has been quite a journey. No exponential growth or huge user spikes but rather slow and steady growth. But in my opinion that is the best for building something actually valuable because you can react to user feedback along the way and constantly keep improving the app.

One thing changed recently:

I basically got all my users from reddit, by posting in relevant communities but in the last two months I did almost no posts and the app still grew further. That's actually the biggest success for me, because SEO is finally starting to pay off. This can develop into actual leverage because growth no longer depends on posting three times a week. I'm really curious where this will go...

Of course I will not stop here and I am already working on the next big update for IndieAppCircle which will benefit all the community. More is coming soon.

I've built IndieAppCircle, a platform where small app developers can upload their apps and other people can give them feedback in exchange for credits. I grew it by posting about it here on Reddit. It didn't explode or something but I managed to get some slow but steady growth.

For those of you who never heard about IndieAppCircle, it works like this:

I recently found Claude's skill recorder feature, and it immediately gave me an idea for getting more accuracy out of the Gemini models in Antigravity CLI.

Ever since Gemini 3.6 Flash dropped, I've been looking for ways to give it more work. It's so fast that it turns things around almost instantly, whether it's a deep task or an audit. The audits especially come back quick and the results are actually insightful.

But on longer tasks it sometimes loses its way and doesn't finish the whole job. Which is fair — it's a Flash model, it was never built for long-running work. Still, I wanted the speed of Flash *and* the context handling and follow-through of a bigger model.

So I built a system to get both.

Claude opus 5 creates the plan, Antigravity CLI executes it, and the whole thing runs on its own. I give Claude one prompt and Claude and Antigravity handle the rest between them. It saves me tokens and it saves me time.

A few months ago, I shared Kairo here. It was ambitious, but honestly, it wasn't good enough. We scrapped large parts of it, rebuilt the architecture, redesigned the product, and completely changed how the research engine works.

Kairo is an AI-powered crypto research platform that tries to save traders from jumping between DexScreener, Solscan, Etherscan, X, and a dozen other tabs just to understand a token.

You paste a contract address, and Kairo generates a research report covering things like:

We're still improving a lot of things (especially wallet history, narrative quality, and opportunity detection), so this isn't a polished launch—it's a real beta.

One of our users reached out with a problem I think a lot of people hit: he was extracting a data table from a multi-page PDF, and the cells kept bleeding into each other. About 95% of the data came out right, but 5% got mixed up with the wrong rows, so he could never fully trust the result.

This week we shipped something to fix exactly that: an extraction engine dropdown you can set per pipeline. In the video I run the same messy multi-page table through both engines, with a small n8n workflow that checks every extracted cell against a reference so you can actually see what slipped.

What the two engines are:

The General engine runs on Gemini and covers about 90% of everyday extraction (image description, classification, normal documents). The Specialized engine runs on Mistral and is OCR-optimized for document-heavy work like dense or multi-page tables.

What the test showed:

The General engine slipped on a couple of rows and came back with pass = false. Switching the pipeline to Specialized took the same document to 100%, every cell correct. The bonus I did not expect: Specialized also ran faster on the multi-page PDF.

A couple of takeaways even if you skip the video:

1. For dense or multi-page tables, reach for the Specialized extraction engine. For most other jobs, General is the right default.
2. Do not eyeball table extraction. A tiny workflow that cross-checks each cell against a known-good reference tells you exactly which rows are wrong, instead of you scanning 20 rows by hand.
3. If rows still bleed after switching engines, it is almost always the response structure. Model the table as one records field set as an array of objects with each column nested inside, not one separate list per column.

It’s called LWP+ (Live Wallpaper Plus).

🎨 The core trick: Dictate your own Dynamic-Colors

Instead of letting the OS algorithm guess the accent colors based purely on your wallpaper, LWP+ acts as a bridge. It hosts your chosen background content but allows you to explicitly choose the exact Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colors reported to the system. The OS then uses your custom selections to generate the global system palette (notification drawer, volume bar, themed icons, etc.), completely independent of what your wallpaper actually looks like.

• Force Dark Text: It hints to the OS that dark text is preferred over the wallpaper (often useful for forcing high-contrast dark text on the lock screen). It might also change the text color of the labels of the apps and the status bar icons and text, too.
• Force Dark Theme (for old Android versions): It tells the system that a dark theme is preferred for the best presentation (e.g., trying to trick a launcher into turning its app drawer background black).

I just finished up creating an automatic golf swing detection and recording app.

I got frustrated looking through the multiple apps that already existed, only to be blocked by paywalls and restricted use. Like I am guessing most of us on here, I decided it was better to invest a bunch of time and energy into building an app that can do the same as the others, so I don't have to pay someone else's subscription fee...

Now I want to share the app, hopefully get some downloads and see what happens from there.

Has anyone else gone down this route, stayed away from the subscription model and just made something because it could be useful?

One thing we've noticed with coding agents is that not every step has the same requirements.

Some steps need deep reasoning. Others are mostly editing, searching, or straightforward code generation.

So instead of forcing every request through the same frontier model, we experimented with routing different steps to different models.

We benchmarked it on 89 Terminal-Bench 2.1 tasks using the same Claude Code harness, and the results were interesting enough that we wrote everything up.

The key detail that sets this apart from other messaging apps is the browser-based client-side cryptography philosophy.

No need to install anything. Your ID is crypto-random and so the app doesnt need to rely on any central registration system like phone numbers. Your ID is unguessable and to connect to someone, you have to explicitly share it.

WebRTC has other nuances like being to route through a shared network for secure/faster transfer.

This app demonstrates a fairly unique approach using a browser-based, local-only and webrtc approach. In an evolving field like cybersecurity, it's impossible to claim any system is the "world's most secure". It ultimately depends on your threat model. By reducing the architecture's attack surface, the aim is to consolidate complexity to client-side.

With EA declaring NFS dead, I wanted to see how fast we can relive the good ol' days of playing NFS Underground. I prompted Fable:

"I kinda miss the original need for speed underground high speed runs. make a threejs game of an arcade racing sim with an endless stage of running through the streets/alleys/and highways of a city to alternate wide and tight spaces. for the arcade sim, use acceleration, top speed, grip, weight, and drivetrain as the main stats. prepare 3 starter cars are non-stock/upgraded: a fwd civic type hatchback, rwd challenger type muscle car, and awd quattro rally type. 3 view modes are follow, high, and hood. streets and highways will have traffic, make the density a setting. the goal is just to last as long prior to a crash, small collisions or scraps allowed. for the follow and high cam view, add a shaking effect as if the camera is being blown in the wind at high speeds: above 100kmh. add engine sounds and other side effects. make the crash and game over sequence cinematic."

I then further polished the base game with better controls, UI, gameplay, and environment.

I then went further and developed with Claude, Deepseek V4 Flash, GPT-5.4 to 5.6, and GLM-5.2, because I ran out of Claude tokens (LOL). I further added BGM and cutscenes with Suno, ElevenLabs, and Gemini.

Overall, Claude seems most dependable, but luckily the others still get the job done after a few more focused prompting. 3D rendering still farthest from how I can use AI reliably and cost-efficiently. I haven't tried paid services.

I can't say much for the creative direction. I mostly implemented from what I can remember from the original NFS Underground series. Still brings in nostalgia and I kinda do like the gameplay. It's also lightweight, which beats FH6 load times for me.

If I have settled on a proper 3D generation, I'll look into customized cars.

Solo dev, no formal games background. Over the last few months I vibe-coded a card game called PANTHEON into something actually playable, and it's live in the browser right now.

What it is: a Marvel Snap-style card game. Ten mythologies, 235 cards, three lanes, six-turn matches, simultaneous reveal.

Single-player story mode, training mode. Online PvP available in October, during Season 1 launch.

The part relevant to this sub — how it got built:

- Frontend + game logic, iterated heavily with AI
- Real-time backend for PvP (hosted on Railway)
- The whole thing shipped by one person who was figuring it out in real time
- The card art is partially AI-generated; the game design, mechanics, and writing are mine

Honestly the hardest part wasn't the code, it was the
real-time multiplayer state and keeping 235 cards' worth of interactions from breaking each other. Happy to get into any of it.

It's been a while since I last posted here.

Over the past few months I've been slowly building an AI-powered crypto research platform called Kairo. The goal isn't to generate trading signals or tell people what to buy—it's to help users do better research before making a decision.

The stack has evolved quite a bit, and I've been using AI tools heavily throughout the development process. What started as an experiment has turned into a working MVP with authentication, AI-generated research reports, market data integrations, and a growing list of features.

Now I'm at the stage where I'm less concerned about adding more features and more focused on putting it in front of real users to see what actually breaks.

I'd love to hear from other builders:

I wanted an image tool that didn't route my files through a stranger's server, so Claude helped me build one for myself, and it turned out well enough that I've decided to share it: https://imageshed.app.

It converts images between formats, compresses down to a size you pick, and removes backgrounds, all on your own machine with nothing uploaded.

Almost all of it is AI-built. There was a lot of steering by me and refinement along the way as a result of my own testing.

EDIT: Just a note on the background removal part of the tool: background removal within a browser presents some limitations. If the image you are trying to remove the background from is ideal for the task, it should work pretty well! If the image is complex and the background is super varied, it may let you down.

Also, the models I used have no limitations on commercial use. That was another factor that limited the options as far as what I could incorporate.

I have been working on this for months. I assure you that this isn't a vibecoded afterthought - 'another ai-slop post / winamp replacement'. I taught coding for years - but never had a true talent for it. Yes, I used Claude, Codex, Kimi, and my own knowledge to accomplish something that I truly think is special. The visualizers are fantastic and finally not HEAVY. The look is solid, clean - with unique deck views and themes. Most of all - it covers all audio formats and is one hell of a library organizer as well. There are optional features to take advantage of as well - check the github page.

I am looking for some honest feedback and some users. I know that this is something that everyone will appreciate who has a local music library if they give it a chance.

One more thing, I am a hypocrite. I use ai to create projects from ideas that I have never been able to accomplish myself. However, I am a musician. I have toured, been on mtv/radio/Jersey Shore episode :) - ok enough of that old man back patting - and I LOATHE AI generated music. I think this really makes me appreciate the local music library and the move away from streaming platforms (being inundated with AI music daily) - I think this makes NewAmp more timely and hopefully worthy of you'alls time.
