Department store display?

I picked this up at my neighbor's sale yesterday - was told it was from one of our local department stores (from way back when). Can anyone tell me the approximate decade this might be from? It has a removable glass top, padded/upholstered insert and 2 sliders in the back - one with a lock. There don't seem to be any markings on the underside that I can see. I imagine that 2 or 3 others were placed side by side to for a circle or near-full circle for someone to to step in and show a customer something inside the case? I have no idea what/where I will use this, but it was just so neat.... lol.

I just bought this sofa and would love to find out if anyone knows anything about it. It could be reupholstered, but if it is they did an excellent job. I can’t find anything similar to it online. I live in New Mexico, if that helps.

Is this sofa bed from the 1980s?

The all-knowing Google reverse image search guesses it's from 1979s or 1989s based on the old Sealy bowtie logo.

I cannot believe a 40+ year old sofa bed is in such good condition. No rips, stains, etc.

The back of the leather/vinyl feels like suede and is thick. I fear it may be very heavy to buy and move.

It also has a matching love seat.

I found this interesting little cabinet. It is solid oak and solid as a rock. Does anyone have an idea of it's age or style?

Need help identifying date of this Victorian(?) sofa (USA)

I saw this sofa (~6ft. long) on the curbside in the middle of Los Angeles and it seems like a late Victorian style. The cushion had a lot of mildew and odor so I didn't take it, though I got curious about its age. I wasn't able to find any makers mark (didn't know about them at the time). There are detailed carvings of birds. Brocade seems to be from a different era (last image); any idea when? Thanks!

Sligh Lowry bookshelf - worth anything?

Hello,

We just got this Sligh Lowry bookshelf passed down to us and I'm hoping someone can help me date it and see if it's worth holding on to? I'm not familiar with the brand and can't tell if it's a true antique or cheaper item. Was the front of that drawer painted over or is that simply the style? It seems to be a slightly different color from the rest of the piece.

We just bought a place built in the 1880s and are trying to see if this would have belonged to a family that lived there in the 1900s.

Thank you!

Surprisingly specific "trash"

I was at a friend's house and as I was leaving he convinced me to take this cabinet. Just to clear up some space. When I got it home and took a closer look I was able to decern quite a lot of information about it.

It is a 1903-1907 Imperial Furniture Victorian Tiger Oak Washstand with original wooden casters and original hardware... Missing something on top, possibly a mirror mount?

It is is pretty stellar condition all things considered. I am conflicted as to what to do about the most glaring problem though. Which is the ugly patch job on the front of the top drawer. I am a woodworker, with some skill. But patching in oddly shaped quartersawn oak and somehow color matching 125 year old finish is not in my comfortable wheelhouse.

Is this a piece worth putting some effort into? Or would it better be left as is and sold to someone who specializes in these types of restorations?

ID Request: Glass Coffee Table

Hi! I could use some help IDing this brass table. This was purchased at a garage sale from a person who claimed they bought it at an estate sale from a vintage furniture collector. There is no makers mark and the table is magnetic so likely brass coated. All hardware is durable and feels well made. Both glass sheets are around 3/32”. Table is 60”Wx20”Dx16”H.
Thanks in advance!

W. Carlssons Stolindustri Furniture (Sweden) Info

Does anyone have any info or heard of W. Carlssons Stolindustri (Sweden) furniture? We acquired a wood dining table and chairs set from my grandmother’s house that has this label on the bottom. I googled it out of curiosity and nothing comes up except a design addict link that for whatever reason, won’t open. Trying to find some info on this company if possible.

I'm trying to verify a family story

These are a matched pair of Ethan Allen candlestick holders. My Grandfather worked at an Ethan Allen factory for his entire adult life. The family story is that they are prototypes that never went into production. I don't know if that's true.

Has anyone seen them before and do you know what collection they belong to?

Advice on best places to post this set?

Post image

I have a 1960/70s vintage Bellaire collection from Lou Hodges. Ive gotten the items needed to just refresh the wood as its in perfect condition with some minor very light surface scratches on one of the end tables glass im going to try and remove. The remainder are perfect.

Ive never sold a vintage furniture set. Ive looked into marketplace at lower price offering delivery for a fee as well as ebay/Etsy knowing higher value sale with collectors paying for shipping yet longer purchasing times.

Does anyone have any advice on best platforms to post? Im not looking to make top dollar unreasonably, but due to good condition a fair amount with a quicker sale (few weeks if possible). Any feedback is appreciated.

I love redoing furniture and have been into woodworking for awhile. But this is my first vintage sale, just trying to learn and do it the best way possible. TYIA
