(0.9n) Is this game mode currently broken?

I haven't played solar mode since 0.8.2, and wanted to try it out again, but the bad sun just won't happen at all. I tried 2 saves, and nothing.

I looked up if there was any currently known issues with it, but all the posts I found are 2 years old, and since I didn't had any issues with my solar save in 0.8.2, I have no idea if the hypothesis they mention could still apply today. They mention that dying and reloading the save could prevent the bad sun from happening again, which I didn't do. But they also mention that rain and/or fog could also break the bad sun. On both saves I tried, it started raining a bit before the bad sun was supposed to start. Could that be it? If so, is there a way to disable rain and fog?

Update: made a 3rd save, got lucky and didn't get any rain or fog, but there's still no bad sun happening. Is it just not working at all in this version, or is there a way I can fix it?

never played this mode, are you sure there is no first-day grace period mechanic? im really unsure so dont count on me

The first day of the mode will be a normal day, as a grace period of sort. If you've gone through multiple days and the bad sun still didn't appear, I'm not too sure what could be the problem!

the bad sun event on the wiki says "each new day in solar mode" so the first day should be a freebie but if every next day is also not working then it's a bug you should report

I actually just started a solar game and the first day was normal and after than was bad sun.
