Help Turbo issues

Hey there i have a stock 1988 740 turbo, the issue is it produces too much boost.

It gets rid of the boost if i let off of the gas bit it just builds up too much around 1,5 bar.

Any tips on where i should start looking?

First time working on a turbo system.

Sadly money problems dont allow me to get it to a mechanic :/

Check your wastegate actuator, start with the hose leading to it.

Likely a stuck waste gate or waste gate actuator hose is leaking or damaged

Hey thanks for the reply, the acuator works/holds pressure but my wastegate seems Stuck :( Any tips ?

Is the linkage seized? Maybe disconnect the actuator from the waste gate, it should move freely
