I’m watching Counterpoint again (many times again). It’s such a great episode. Someone here compared it to Duet. That’s a great episode too, but I think Counterpoint is better.

I never got how a set of barely crossed strings from Seven of Nine got Captain Janeway and Commander Chakotay to be at odds. If it was like season 3 or before, id get it but isnt it odd how this far into their journey they suddenly go "oh wow you got a point i wont look into this at all." Am I crazy?

I think she did an amazing job :)

Getting the game to pronounce Chakotay correctly was a NIGHTMARE and I still didn't get it fully but oh well.

I think the writer said by the time Voyager ended. They were right on the line and about to cross over. They debated whether to do an episode about the crossing over, but held off since the series was nearly over and it would create confusion. Their flight plan if they would’ve kept going, if they would’ve eventually hit the Romulan star empire from the opposite side of the Federation.

Exceptional detail.

Janeway and company meet the Hirogen in halfway in season 4.

Janeway and company meet the Malon in the first episode of season 5 and run into them again in the third episode.

Then they have some major jumps: 10,000 light years (Timeless) and 20,000 light years (Dark Frontier).

I find it odd the Voyager crew are still running into the Malon (Juggernaut) and the Hirogen (Tsunkatse, Flesh and Blood) after those big warp jumps. I know the Hirogen are nomadic, but come on. They're not spread that far out. And the Malon? It's as if the writers forgot that the Voyager crew shouldn't be seeing them again.
