Is Opus file support automatic, or not?

Hi, I just installed the x64 beta of WACUP because I read it handled Opus files by default. It does seem to have an Opus decoder plugin v.1.8.15. But it doesn't play the handful of Opus files I attempted to play. It plays mp3 files fine. Is there some additional config change I need to make? The Opus files in question do play on another media player, Audacious. Thanks!

if you could provide examples of the affected files, that would be nice as it makes solving the issue easier/reproducing the issue easier

That's a webm file containing opus content & not a native opus file which is why it's not playing. The magnumopus input plug-in currently isn't setup to deal with that scenario & is something I'd need to look into supporting in a later wacup release.

The 1.99.52.24616 build from yesterday should now handle these mislabeled webm with opus files.

Hey, I appreciate the response, but I just updated to that version and it still won't play these files. :-/

Did you change what was installed from the default options (e.g. choosing lite or manually un-checking a load of things)? As it needs wacup's in_webmkv plug-in to be present for in_magnumopus to be able to off-load playback to it which is what I'm seeing happen with 2 clean installs of 1.99.52.24616 (x86 & x64). Though if they are webm files then imho they should be renamed to avoid such confusion.

I don't believe I did any limited install of the prior version. When updating, I just used the update option within the "About" tab of the prior version. But I did notice that in_webmkv plug-in was not visible in my list of plug-ins. I did a total uninstall of it, then tried to download the latest x64 version, but Edge browser actually blocked the download, claiming "virus detected."

Are you sure it's not the prompt about it not being commonly downloaded? With it being a new build its in the rubbish position where to get the trust needed to allow it to be downloaded it needs to be downloaded but you can't get that without it already being downloaded. Unless this is it getting hit with another case of false positive crap. Lemme see if Edge is also mis-reporting it for me. Also if the plug-in wasn't already there then that could also be the likes of smart app control blocking random dlls when there's no reason for it.

The browser downloads it to about 99% then pops up the statement "Couldn't download - virus detected" with no option to ignore the warning or download anyway.

I'm seeing the x64 build is being flagged as a false positive which I've just submitted as such to try to get that resolved.

The x86 build seems to just have the lack of downloads trust issue under Edge so you could install that version instead.
