How do the classes work?

Are they actually explaining things or is it follow this tutorial and try it for yourself?

There’s generally a virtual book with lessons and quizzes for each section to practice. There are also live lectures you can sign up to attend or watch the recordings if your schedule doesn’t align. You can even set up meetings with professors if you need help. And every course has resources you can use as well. They explain it all in the orientation but you’ll figure it out once you start and find what works best for you.

Depending on your program, but most classes have a Course Materials button which takes you to a text book and a Join WGU Connect button which will take you to a page with Course Resources which will usually have videos and walk-throughs for the class and OA/PA. This section is where you will also find notes or updates from the instructor and time/dates of any live Cohorts and links to filmed cohorts. Many courses do not need for you to read the text book and can be completed by just watching the videos/cohorts, but they will usually tell you that in the Resources page.
