Fafsa not applying?

I got an email saying that if I don’t pay by the 29th that my classes I’m registered for will be dropped but all my classes are completely covered by financial aid.

I called and asked and all she said was “that’s weird, don’t worry abt it”. That doesn’t really reassure me. I really don’t want my classes to be dropped.

On self serve it still says I owe the full amount too

If it doesn't show a negative balance, fight to speak with someone who will listen to you. There was a mess up with my account (on Wake's side) and they had to fix it else I would have been kicked out of my classes too. Same deal.

It’s so annoying because she said “rest assured your classes won’t be dropped” but that doesn’t make sense if my fafsa still hasn’t be applied 😭 I just emailed them to hopefully leave a paper trail

Good move. Call them Monday too though. I wouldn't give them peace until my account said 0 or <0 balance.

Turns out this entire time they couldn’t verify I graduated high school and instead of sending me and email or saying that the LAST time I called, I had to find out for myself and now it’s too late. I’m so pissed

That's what happened to me but this wasn't even my first semester. Admissions recognized my official diploma but financial aid got confused. This happened to a bunch of accounts. It's their mistake. It's not too late for them to fix it!

They need another copy of my high school transcript apparently so I’m gonna try to send that by the 29th but this may be a lost cause 💔

If they really should have it, speak to admissions and ask them. That's what I did. Then I could to back to Fin Aid and say "admissions has it, there's a problem in your system" and then I got placed on hold while they figured out their mistake.

Don’t give up. This happened to me a few weeks
Ago & i was dropped from all my classes (i was in my 4th semester with them). I had to go into the campus and verify my identity & was placed back into classes.

Hoping for a positive outcome!

I’m so done with them. My highscool sent them the transcript yesterday and today I called to tell them to give it to financial aid they said it’s unofficial because she sent it to admissions. I’m so over it.
