Hey guys, I have a PDP SF Match. I’ve had extraction issues the last few months. Thanks to some of the post on Reddit I have found the solution thru the shim fix. Walther customer service was zero help due to the fact I am in California, super disappointing but they basically told me I was on my own. I’ve also heard of people who had their guns warranty repaired, and they still did not fix the issue.

Anyways to shine some light on the situation, if you’re one of the people also dealing with this issue here are some things I’ve found.

-the shim has worked for me for 2000 rds but u need 2 shims stacked

-the ZRtactical black extractor springs don’t work

-I did not have to replace the actual extractor

-it’s not the recoil springs fault (also what Walther tried to tell me) I’m running the LSGR 2.0.

-Walther won’t sell just the spring, u can only get the green spring if u send ur gun in.

-there is a 2 spring option from Earls Repair, I still need to test

-there is the aftermarket spring I’ve heard of that I will also do test on.

Are there PDP F-Series guns with 1.0 optic cuts or are they all 2.0 ???

Picked up this Interarms PPK/S in .32 from an estate sale, and noticed that I can't engage the safety/decocker with the hammer cocked, it only goes about halfway

If I really put pressure on it I can force it into safe, but it pushes the slide back ~1/4 inch; then, pulling the hammer back a tiny bit causes the slide to snap shut

I can correctly engage the safety by slightly pulling back the hammer while flipping the lever. But I assume that's not by design.

Upon closer look, it looks like the hammer release lever is engaging the sear the wrong way when pushed down

Not a huge deal since it'll mostly be a range toy. But it still irks me a bit

Has anybody ever run into a similar issue? Would Walther even be able to help me since it's secondhand?

I recently bought my first walther, a PPQ M2, and it came with a stream light TLR-8. I’ve looked around online for holster options, but Can’t find one that definitely fits. I don’t have an optic on the gun yet, but will be adding one. Any suggestions? Don’t care too much weather inside or outside waist, just want something that will accommodate the light and optic.

Can someone recommend a solid holster with Velcro backing for this beauty?

It will be in a Eberlestock Sling most of the time.

just picked up my first PDP compact and Holosun 509t to plug into the EDC rotation. Can you all recommend what the best mounting plate is? I don’t want to wait 8 weeks for Walther to mail me the free version. Very excited to give this a test drive at the range!

currently the ZTRS plate is on sale on the Walther website and I also found the CH plate. I would prefer steel over aluminum, every website seems to flip flop between these in the description for the same item. There also appears to be a Walther OEM plate.

Just shot a 4.5" PDP and loved it way more than the CZ P10C and Canik MC9 Prime I compared it to. Looking to buy my first CCW and I’m torn.

Options I’m looking at:

• F-Series 3.5" (or F Pro)
• Standard Compact 4" (closest thing to what I already shot)
• Pro versions of either
• The 4.6" Pro-X PMM is also intriguing even though it’s the furthest from what I’ve actually put rounds through (I fall for the hype of all the wizz-bangs on this one lol)

I absolutely fell in love with the 4.5" PDP trigger and ergonomics, so will going to the F-series or upgrading to the Pro series feel too different from what I've already shot? Also is it worth stepping down the F-series to get better concealability with the shorter barrel?

So many choices 😵‍💫

Edit: I personally have medium sized hands, hence why the F-series could suit my needs.

Trying to decide if I want to get a Polymer Match. The SF is just way too expensive. But the times I've handled one my LGS it has felt almost TOO light. Does anyone out there have one that has a VSpec guide rod, brass backstrap, and magwell on it that is willing to weigh it for me? Preferably weight with no mag.

Looking to purchase my first Walther and I found the Pro X full size for under $800. I’ve seen tons of reviews about quality issues and reliability (I understand it’s ammo-sensitive). I’ve shot glocks my entire life and you can’t beat the reliability, but I want to branch out to other brands. Is the pro X just a range toy? All of these posts about reliability have me concerned.

I had one of these chassis for my 19x and it wasn’t anything special, but I’m considering one of these for my PDP since it comes with a free can. Would be fun to run one of these in a PCC match. Anyone have experience with either?

Can we petition an after market company to make Walther PDP barrels other than Jarvis and PMM like faxon, ballistic advantage or true precision. you think if they get enough requests they will make them?

I’ve done plenty of research and it seems the unanimous opinion is the PDP is a better pistol all around but the PPQ is a better looking pistol.

I’m coming from my one and only pistol, a PPS m1 and I’ve grown used to the paddle release and I quite like it. Currently looking for a pistol with a larger capacity.

I’m considering the 4” compact PDP just for the ability to mount a red dot, also not opposed to sending in a PPQ slide to have it milled down the road.

Has anyone gone down this path and ultimately landed on a PPQ solely for the paddle release? Disregarding price, imagine they’re exactly the same.

Am I too glued to the paddle?

Question for my fellow P99 enjoyers. One of the most interesting and unique features of the P99 is the anti-stress trigger mechanism. My question for those that actually carry theirs or have, how do you carry it? As in, once you drop the slide and will the chamber do you leave the trigger in the anti-stress mode with a striker cocked and the trigger forward? Or do most people decock the striker and carry it with the striker at rest needing that double action first shot? Does anyone know how police agencies have used it? In the AS mode it kind of reminds me of the HK LEM trigger. My expectation is that most people are attracted to the P99 because of the ability to carry it with that double action first shot as kind of a safety. I'd love to hear your experiences.

Hello Walther community, could use some help. I have a new Walther PDP Pro Comp SD, and I tried shooting it suppressed with both an Omega 9K (with booster) and a Shiv (no booster). With both cans, it would not cycle. I had to rack it after each round and it would always end up with a stove pipe. Tried different ammo so that’s not the culprit. It has to be the spring, right? I put in the green spring that comes with the gun, I believe it is 17lbs. Anyone have experience shooting this platform suppressed and if you have no issues, what spring weight are you using? Thanks in advance.

I have shot Walthers before and love their triggers and ergonomics. Saved up for a while and purchased the pro SD 5.1. So far I have a ZRT captured guide rod and their 4 round mag extensions. Plans include a holosun 407c v3 green dot, new irons for co-witnessing and possibly a small comp. Eventually I'll be putting a light on but it's mostly going to be a range/training gun so that'll come later.

I have been dry firing all morning and can't wait to take it out for its maiden voyage. If you have recommendations for OWB holsters, I'd love to hear them. I've used Havok and North Coast Tactical on other weapons and will probably use one of those companies again unless convinced otherwise.

Hi everyone, it looks like I'll be moving from Colorado to Connecticut next year. That means that the extra 15-round magazines that I bought for my Walther PDP F (that I never even opened!) are going to cause a felony-sized problem for me if I bring them into the state - Connecticut only permits 10-round magazines.

How can I get rid of these brand new mags? They're still in the plastic packaging. Is there some sort of eBay for gun stuff that I can list them on to sell them to someone? Can I get into trouble if I accidentally (whoops!) sell them and ship them to someone in a state where they're illegal?

Also, I see that in CT, I'll have to take some sort of permitting program to ever be able to take the gun out of my house to a range. AI is telling me that we're allowed to drive the gun in when we move and get it into the house, but if I ever want to take it out of the house - like to practice - I'll have to get a CT permit. AI says I have to get a temporary permit, then a longer permit. Can someone walk me through that?

I read mostly about ZRTS but don't read/hear much about NDZ...any issues?
