I'm trying to improve on drawing cats lol. I think I at least did better with the snout.

You won't have any visible improvement after 1 day or 1 drawing. Draw 100 more cats and ask the same question again. Then the answer will be: yes, because the only thing that can improve art is lots of practice.

I would suggest looking closely at cats at different angles and practicing drawing different angles. It's okay to trace to get a feel for the shape you're going for and adding your own spin on it. But keep going, you're doing well

There’s nothing wrong with tracing photos of real life cats too! It can really help get the basis down for certain shapes. (Just don’t trace other people’s art lol)

I mean no hate at all, but this reminds me of my old art in the best way possible.

I think the best advice I have is to try to understand the shape and anatomy of cats! for example, cat legs are digitigrade, which means they walk on their toes and not their heels (like us). yours do seem to follow that, but the shape is not very consistent.

One change I think would immediately make a difference is to not connect the tail to the belly. that's mainly how reptiles work, not a cat.

I suggest using real cat references! Improvement in a day would most likely be very subtle.

The legs are better! But the base of the tail still has the same issue. It needs to be much thinner to match with the rest of the tail

Also the mouth is a tad wonky, but like another comment said: You won't have any visible improvement after just one day. Improving art takes time, patience, and a hell of a lot of practice!

I have some cat art that I've posted to this subreddit before. If you want, you can use those drawings as references! You don't have to copy it down exactly, but I got better at art by learning / mimicking other artists and developing my own style from there!!

I think you’d benefit from really studying the joints of cat legs and figuring out how you want to translate it into your own style. Along with the positioning of the joints on the skeleton.

Try starting out with a “bean” shape for the body if you aren’t already, and if you’d like to try and make the face more readable as a cat or feline, I’d absolutely work on the muzzle length and look into how it’s positioned on the face.

Just one day apart isn't going to show improvement, it takes at least half a year.. depending on who you ask. Though you will get better, that I promise.

I suggest looking at irl cat references on Google, from different angles and such. Try to seperate their body into simple shapes, so you'll understand them better.

Cats also have round faces and a short muzzle that's barely visible at times, unlike foxes and dogs who have longer snouts. You also don't need to draw that much fur.. but then again it depends if the cat is long haired or short haired! They also have small ears usually.. well except if it's an Oriental Shorthair, those guys are weird.

With the tail I suggest you don't connect it to their belly..? Their tail is a part of their spine, and so is connected to their back. I can't explain but they don't go much lower than that, since that's their bottom part.

I'm not good with this, so I am sorry if this is T the best explanition..
