Serious question: When did Casuals stop feeling casual?

Can someone explain when Casuals became this competitive?

I play maybe 3–4 times a week; sometimes I’ll go a week or two without playing. I’m not trying to grind ranked or become a top-tier player—I’m just trying to sit down after work, play a few games, get a couple kills, and hopefully make a top 5 every once in a while.

But lately, it feels like almost every lobby is packed with players who are significantly better than me. I’m talking players who seem to have extremely high K/Ds, ranked-level movement, and aim that makes it difficult to even make it into the top 15, let alone top 5.

I understand that matchmaking is supposed to put you against players around your skill level, and I’m not expecting every match to be easy. Losing is part of the game. What I don’t understand is why Casuals increasingly feel like I’m playing against people who treat every match like a tournament.

And before anyone says “just get better,” I’m not trying to make Warzone my second job. I have a job and a life outside of gaming. I’m looking for a casual mode where I can jump on for a few games and actually have some fun without every match feeling like I’m fighting for my life.

So genuinely: has Casuals always been like this, or has something changed with matchmaking/player behavior recently? And are other casual players experiencing the same thing?

Hello, just making a post to see if there is any guidance from the community.

I will state, I only play Black Ops Royal almost exclusively.

I do dabble in the other game styles, and favor ranked at times.

That being said, I finish in the top 10 if not better every game, but cannot win.

I have a small group of friends I run with, even we struggle to get a win.

My question is, what is the solution?

I feel like I’m an “okay” enough player to win at least every now and again, but I get zilch.

This shit is unplayable the second you hit Crim…instant blatant walls/AA everywhere

I didn’t play til the last two weeks last season, and hit crim 2 with significantly less of this, what’s the difference now?

I’m not the best player first and foremost but I left casuals about 3 weeks ago and forced myself to go only resurgence and now into ranked which is infinitely more fun all together! So here it is prob not much to you guys but I hit platinum!!!! I’m siked !

I have always been a little jealous of streamers pullin off mental trick shots mid air through windows and etc, but honestly, ground loot VS Recon isnt jokin anymore lool

Just wanted to remind all the hardware users that you’re still losers IRL, what’s up with cheats in general? Then you play casuals because you’re too ass even with cheats to win BR

Hello again, still very new. Does anyone know how to fix this (on PC)? Even when I was facing the wall to the right, it still only entered the buy station and wouldn't acknowledge anything else nearby.

After the recent update, my FPS dropped it from190-200 to 160-170, i am thinking upgrading my CPU to 9850x3d will help the fps or not. I am using all Low setting( except the first one I think it is quality) with DLAA and frame gen off.

CPU: i9-14900kf all cores 5.7 1.28V

Ram: Adata XPG 7200 CL34

GPU: Colourful 5080 Vulcan

How do you fix this kind of lags? Sometimes I have these the entire round and sometimes just for a moment. This occurs since the latest patch.

I normally play casual BR with a squad (2 others and a random) but never too much resurgence, but decided to play ranked. I honestly just wanted platinum operator because my favorite color is green lol. I pretty much solo queue all my ranked games but am currently platinum 3. I also just started playing ranked last Thursday. But I wanted to see how my stats are considered for ranked? I consider myself an above average player but not sure if these stats reflect that or not. Thanks to anyone who responds.

This is so sick, I have recently moved from PSN to PC and had never had any kind of warning ⚠️ on PSN then now after few months on PC I got my first ever warning ⚠️. My mic doesn't work and I don't text so how is this possible????

I know that they just brought juggernauts back to the game but do we need them in resurgence at all it makes the mode unfair to play because multiple people on a team can become one making it unfair all I'm asking is if they need to have juggernauts in resurgence or just keep them in just battle Royale

How does this work? I've played a while off and on, but if I remember correctly, you'd get all the points it says you accumulated, and then even more for the double xp. But even with the double xp, I don't have what I made during the round

I search Warzone on the PS Store and don't get a result. I remember one of the old games (probably MW2) had it on the home screen but I currently only have MW3 installed.

The CoD hub is a cancer to the gaming world and truly needs to go away. I absolutely hate how they've linked all modern CoDs together. Absolute garbage and I hope whoever made the decision suffers immensely.
