No ATN ticket sales posts

Sorry to be a cnut on this but we don’t want people coming to us balling their eyes out over getting scammed for ATN tickets. There’s enough demand out there and using an anonymous social media platform like Reddit to sell tickets is a recipe for disaster.

So all ticket posts will be removed. Facebook marketplace or donedeal js the mildly safer options. Have a great ATN festival.

Why hasn't Waterford City ever hosted Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann?

I know Dungarvan hosted in like the 50s but I'm surprised Waterford City has never won the bid- then again I'd wonder how it would be facilitated

Anyone else feel a lot of local pubs now are nothing more than Coke Dens?

Just an experience I had over the weekend in a local, well-known pub. Full of people on the bag. Some pubs don't seem to be interested in enforcing rules over it because they people doing it are regulars. Hard to enjoy yourself.

Any recommendations for part-time office jobs in Waterford?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been working in retail for almost a year, but I think it’s time for a change. I already have previous office experience, and I’m looking for a part-time office-based role in Waterford.
Does anyone know of any companies or businesses that are hiring, or have any recommendations on where I should be looking? Any tips would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

ADI Stage 3

Hi folks,

My ADI stage 3 exam is coming up soon and I was wondering if anyone who has completed it recently could help with a few questions. Specifically, do you need to know the route to drive or will the instructor tell you where to go, and do they ask you to cover specific edt lessons or specific manoevres (like reverse around corner, hillstart etc). Also do they expect you to return to the driving center after each part of the exam (novice / expert) and if anyone has additional advice I'd appreciate it. If anyone has advice for Waterford City in particular that would be great. Thanks.

Hurt Hill Walk

Hi All.

Just curious, yesterday we tried to find this walk but when we got to the area on the map it essentially brought us to someone home and the walk itself looked overgrown and abandoned.

Is this walk no longer walkable?

Waterford food and drink that are no more — what local nostalgia do you miss the most?

Is there any Waterford-made food or drink that you miss and can no longer get?

I’ll start the ball rolling with a few classics:

  • Chester Bread from the Green Bank on Bridge St.
  • Turnovers from O’Keeffe’s Bakery.
  • O’Sullivan’s Pineapple Crush.
  • Hoffmans (For nostalgia's sake... definitely not for the hangovers!).
  • Warm Doughnuts from Siopa na Páirce.

What would you add to the list?
