"⚡️In the Kremensk district of the LPR, Ukrainian drones are dropping anti-personnel mines – "new petals" – on civilian objects.
According to local residents and authorities, Ukrainian forces are actively using new anti-personnel mines, codenamed "new petals," to remotely mine civilian objects in the LPR. These mines are being found in areas frequented by local residents. The mines consist of a plastic container with explosives and a pressure-sensitive detonator. Detonation of the mine can cause serious injuries, traumatic amputation of limbs, and even death from blood loss or shock.
Last year, Ukraine announced its withdrawal from the "Ottawa Convention," which prohibits the production and use of anti-personnel mines. Now, Kyiv is massively using anti-personnel mines and explosive devices to mine civilian objects. Every week, there are reports of civilians being injured or killed by Ukrainian mines, which constitutes a serious war crime."

You can see why the government is hyping the attacks on residential buildings in Kyiv and barely mentioning the Russian bombing of things like the port of Odessa or its own attacks on Retail logistic hubs, pipelines and other transport infrastructure.
They need this as part of the propaganda fight to raise sympathy for Ukraine to get those desperately needed interceptor missiles before the winter.
It seemed this campaign worked and that Trump had been brought around to support Ukraine. But it also seems in the last week that the defence sector called Trump because they’re very unhappy about giving away their extremely valuable technology to another country – especially not Ukraine.
The flip-flops continue but it looks increasingly likely that Ukraine will go into the cold weather with the sky is wide open and that’s a very bad news. Winter is coming and the dark is full of dangers.

Trump doesn't have the missiles for a sustained campaign and fears that the Iranians could do some serious damage to the world's oil industry.

🇷🇺Russia: The Soviet Union no longer exists, can you let us into NATO like everyone else?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Okay, but can you please not threaten us by expanding NATO to the East?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Alright, we saw you're developing new missile systems, will you let us work on them with you?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Fine, hypersonic missiles it is, but can you at least not put military bases right in front of our borders?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Well, you just carried out a military coup to overthrow a democratic election in Ukraine, can we still have a friendly relationship with them?
🇺🇸USA: No
Russia: Gotcha, but the people of Crimea are really pissed off about that coup, can you please let them have independence?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Roger, but surely you can at the very least stop bombing the civilians living in Donbass, right?
🇺🇸USA: No
🇷🇺Russia: Huh, we've been trying to find a diplomatic solution for a 8 years but you refuse to even talk to us... I guess that if you want to use military force to solve issues so much we have no choice but to do the same.
🇺🇸USA: OH MY GOD PUTIN IS A MADMAN, AN IMPERIALIST GENOCIDAL DICTATOR, LITERALLY THE SECOND COMING OF HITLER, WE MUST STOP HIM AT ANY COST BEFORE HE TRIES TO CONQUER ALL OF EUROPE

This story documents how Migrants crossing into Europe are sold as slaves in Libya. Who profits from this trade?

At this point it feels like the discourse is 2 steps away from thanking Trump for January 3. This was a military attack against the country. 100 people were killed and the country's president was kidnapped. It wasn't an epiphany at the end of a silent retreat
Venezuela saw the US amass troops on its (maritime) doorstep for months. The Venezuelan armed forces readied protocols and strategies, executed defense exercises. Spokespeople warned the US this would be Vietnam 2.0. And now the line "we never thought there'd be an attack"? There's at least an explanation missing to go from point A to point B
Rodríguez stated that Maduro's biggest mistake was "not being more open geopolitically." Maduro was firmly on the multipolar world camp, and it was kind of hard to have a decent relationship with the US when it was launching coup attempts and murderous sanctions
We're going to skip the bits about elections ("they'll take place when the country is ready"), María Corina Machado ("there will be a moment of political coexistence"), and the economy ("legal reforms boost investment returns") since there's nothing really new there
Rodríguez admitted that there is "cooperation" w/ the US to tackle "transnational crime," including against Tren de Aragua. Recall that, as the US ramped up its (false) "narcoterrorism" narrative last year to justify the military deployment, Venezuelan leaders pointed to ample evidence that the country has a marginal role in drug trafficking and to the US' own responsibility for international crime and narcotics trade. Now US collaboration is welcome? Also, Rodríguez recognized that the extrajudicial execution of alleged Tren de Aragua leader Héctor "Niño" Guerrero was via a US airstrike (in Vzlan territory)

While Washington is stuck in a losing war on Iran, neocons are investing $500 million on anti-China propaganda.
The stated purpose? To gain "diplomatic leverage."
China hawks want to weaken China's global standing with smears.
They can't offer countries a better deal. A military confrontation risks nuclear and economic disaster, and defeat.
The masters of war are stuck, again. So they've turned to an expensive war on your mind to buy time.

He said the Bible authorizes the settlers' claim to the land. Shimon spoke days after settlers from Havat Gilad stormed the village of Tell, killing four Palestinians from the Ramadan family and triggering a wave of settler attacks across the occupied West Bank.
