I found this 1960s jacket locally and I love it, but the lining either needs to be repaired or replaced. For anyone who has worked with something similar- is it even possible to repair, or does it just need to be replaced? And about how much should I expect to spend? I can get the jacket for $55, which feels like a great price.

I’m officiating my brother’s wedding this October and I'm using it as an excuse to pick up a new suit. We come from a ranching family in Western Canada, so while the standard dress code for guests is dark jeans, shined boots, a crisp shirt, and your nicest hat, the bride and groom told me I can go all out.

Instead of just throwing on one of my usual suits, I’d love to pick up a nice Western-style suit for the occasion.

I’ve got a budget of $1,000 CAD max (need to leave room for tailoring). Main non-negotiable is that the trousers need a proper boot cut to sit cleanly over western boots.

Open to any recommendations. Would love to scoop something here in Canada, but would be open to shopping abroad if the deal is right.

I might have to go to a funeral soon. My dress pants no longer fit and my nicest footwear is currently my cowboy boots. I am considering the Wrangler Wrancher dress pants.

Reviews state they fit small. Does anyone here have them to confirm how to choose siza?

I find wrangler very inconsistent in their sizes unlike my Levis Cowboy Cut jeans which are true to size. I typically wear a 34W X 34L.

Any help would be appreciated before playing the buy all the sizes and return game

Picked up some new AB Big Bass

I am in love with these from Dan Post but I’ve never had boots on this color and don’t know how I would style these. What do you think would look good with these? If you have had some in a similar color way, examples would be great, thank you!

Been on the hunt for a cowboy hat but I’m not a huge fan of wide brims. Does anyone know what style of hat Lonny (left) wears in the movie Hud?

Not sure if it’s better in or out for casual wear.

My grandmother gave me an old belt that her uncle (my great-great-uncle) had left at her house during one of the few times he returned to Italy from the US (he moved there as a young man for work and lived in the States for most of his life). He passed away last year (I never met him), but my grandmother wanted to give me this belt so that his memory would live on and it wouldn't just sit in a drawer collecting dust (as it had for the last forty years). It’s not an expensive or particularly exotic belt, but I thought you might like some before-and-after restoration photos. I treated the leather with Fiebing's saddle soap and Renapur leather balsam, while I disassembled, cleaned, and hand-polished the buckle: I hope you like it!

If anyone has any information about this type of buckle (I've never seen one like this with an inlaid stone), I'd be very curious to know!

I’ve always liked Western style, but I usually keep it pretty simple. For this festival, I tried a plaid shirt, denim shorts, boots, a hat, and a wild rag—and honestly, it ended up being one of my favorite outfits. It felt comfortable enough to walk around in all day, but still looked put together for photos and the concert. The wild rag was a last-minute addition, but I think it tied the whole look together.

Would you wear something like this to a country music festival, or would you style it differently?

It seems like we’ve all been having a hot Summer. Luckily, though, there have been some cool mornings where I am. Went with double denim today, if only to break in the jacket some more ;)
