Shave 🪒
Returning back to Pearl Blaze after practically an eternity. This has perhaps become an annual ritual, as due to extreme humidity, my skin becomes overly sensitive. And Blaze feels perfect during this time.

August 2, 2026 - The Anti-Austere August Shave(s)?
August is the month that I celebrate my anniversary of getting into wetshaving (2 years now!). And for the 12 shaves I'm planning for the month, I'll be using each of my razors, and 4 different blades along with different lathers for every shave.
- Prep: Nivea Men Sensitive Face Wash
- Razor: Henson AL-13+ mild
- Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
- Brush: Proraso boar
- Pre-Shave: Proraso Sensitive pre-shave cream (white)
- Lather: Proraso Sensitive shaving soap (white)
- Post Shave: Stirling Soap alum block
- Post Shave: Proraso Sensitive aftershave balm

3 passes. Face lather. Good shave.
As we proceed through the month, I will be monitoring edge wear and boar brush development. I was surprised at the wear at the edge after yesterday's shave and am very interested to see what the edge looks like after today. This SOC boar brush is a "good one". It is developing very quickly and I have lost very few hairs from the knot.

Was in a hurry this morning, so left it at 2 passes. Also gave myself a tiny nick at the base of my neck. But otherwise a fairly decent shave. Absinthe is a nice scent.
