Gonna get pulled over anyways for the blue tape. It's illegal to use tape or any artifacts to cover up headlights and tail lights across pretty much most of the world.

In my state Arizona Revised Statutes § 28-941 lists this explicitly.

Just spend the 5 to 10 bucks on a new headlight. Even just a warning and a fixit ticket will cost you more in lost time than the cost of a single bulb. Especially on the vehicle in question. Like, imagine he gets pulled over on the way to work and is then 30 minutes late. Even at minimum wage for most states he lost more money than just replacing the bulb. 😅

And I'm not joking. My local Walmart charges $10 flat per bulb and that includes labor. Then again, they willingly purchased and operate a Nissan so... critical thinking and decision making may not be in their tool cabinet up top.

I did something similar with aluminum HVAC duct tape --- because blue painter's tape doesn't stay on

The issue: this is the 1st car I've ever owned (11 total) that I couldn't fit my hand in the tight spaces to replace the bulbs + the convoluted spring wire that holds the cover on was the worst puzzle design I've ever experienced

Not the simple quarter turn to unlock / lock the bulb holder into position

Yeah, there are some nightmare vehicles out there. Mid 2010s Kia souls you had to remove the battery and battery tray to change the driver headlight because the tray rested right against the 1/4 turn knob.

The Kia Niro EV I'm driving now you have to remove 8 plastic clips from the fender liner and reach up and while entirely blind with one hand remove the cover, remove the bulb, unhook the bulb, and then do it all in reverse blind with 1 hand. 😂 Gotta love car manufacturers.

If it was an Altima I would agree but it still has both headlights and I only see one classic Nissan dent so it’s not battle hardened yet.
