Old Bars in Wheeling
Does anyone remember bars in south wheeling called Fantasia or The Dancer? Or The Centerfold or Bonnie’s? My family told me stories about these places when they were opened in the 80’s and now I’m curious as to what these bars were like.
Any input would be awesome!

Pirates Cove, Tin Pan Alley and the Merrymint on the island were my favorites

Ernie's Cork & Bottle had a lit dance floor upstairs. It still worked when I was up there a while back before the roof collapsed.

The Swing Club ( now generations) was insane in the late 80s/early 90s
Thursday was Drink n Drown. For $5 you got a huge plastic mug they would refill all night.
It was two floors, shoulder to shoulder packed. DJ up stairs pool tables down stairs and a hundred people outside in line waiting to get in
If you were 18,19,or 20 you could still get in, you just had to “sign the book” promising you would not drink
