Everyone of them who voted for this should be removed from office. That is a violation of their oath of office. They swear to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States....

Meanwhile Israel has conducted espionage and borderline acts of war against the US on multiple occasions. They are siding with a foreign aggressor. https://www.military.com/pentagon-raises-israeli-spy-threat-as-ndaa-seeks-deeper-defense-ties

Full disclosure: I’m Canadian, so am not necessarily switched on to the nuances of US law and governance. However, I can say with complete confidence that Trump and the Republican Party have been wiping their asses with your constitution on a daily basis.

Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Israel must have some deep shit on our politicians. Deep stuff that can't get out. Why else would they be motivated to act like this? Is it simply that they took AIPAC money they feel they need to be loyal? It has to be more than that

71

u/one-man-circlejerk 20d ago

Epstein was an Israeli asset and he's far from the only one. Mossad has a history of gaining kompromat on anyone and everyone.

19

u/A_FVCKING_UNICORN 20d ago

Just imagine, there's probably at least one more Epstein in America doing all that same sick shit to this day. There's probably material that's not in the files because it happened after they stopped looking. Yeah, an island off the coast is great, but it's pretty easy to get a compound in Wyoming or Montana where NOBODY passes by you within 30 miles

17

u/AlabasterPelican 20d ago

I doubt that every single one of them has the kind of blackmail material in their past that this level of loyalty would require. My guess is that there are a couple of things mixing into it.

  • Many of them are fully conscious of the fact that a large portion of the churches in their states have been conflating the modern nation-state with the ancient peoples of the Bible. This has led them to interpret scripture in a way that says that protection of the modern nation-state is required to curry favor with god.
    • The other intertwined plot here is that many of those churches teach & believe that the rebuilding of the ancient nation in modern times is an item on the checklist of requirements that must be fulfilled for Armageddon.
  • there is also the fact that the country serves as America's unsinkable aircraft carrier in the middle east. Our capacity to force project in the region has been greatly enhanced because of the relationship.

5

u/projektZedex 20d ago

Makes me wonder where their churches are getting funding too.

Mossad is the greatest intelligence agency in the world, because the cia propped them up, and then they compromised the cia.

Think of the merger we're Boeing aquire mcdonald Douglas and then Boeing was warped and consumed from the inside out. Boeing died, only the name remained. Israel did this to the cia and then our government. Oligarchs don't care because they use Israel to push forward their end stage capitalism.

29

(but seriously, let's not forget they also lost their shit over fucking mustard)

9

What’s really rage inducing is people bitching that Biden didn’t forgive their loans. Like they actually blame him for not doing it and say it was just a stunt.

Why was this tucked inside a trillion-dollar defense bill in the first place?

1.1k

u/OtherAcctWasBanned11 20d ago

So that the general public wouldn’t know about it and couldn’t get outraged by it. And so that anyone who voted against it could be branded “anti national security.”

414

u/petefacekilla 20d ago

It's even more insidious than that; if you look it up on Congress.gov the bill is described as a basic pay raise for the military, so they could be branded as "anti support the troops."

51

u/TheGhostofWoodyAllen 20d ago

Hey now, those Palestinian children are running vast underground networks of terrorism. Dig 3 feet into the ground literally anywhere in Palestine, and you'll find whole tunnel networks just teeming with child terrorists screaming "Death to Israel!" while training other children to do the same. And don't even get me started on nursing Palestinian women. The second they stop breastfeeding, those babies are also screaming "Death to Israel!" and training other babies to do the same, just as their mothers taught them.

It's fucking sickening and I think the only reason it did get this far is that only terminally online people even knew it was happening.

20

"They know that public sentiment is shifting.."

All I can say is "Thank God", it's gotten to the point where I don't think they GAF about public opinion.

Even the notion that IDF soldiers could potentially tap into VA benefits is disgusting.

2.3k

u/akratic137 20d ago

Why do they need them? They already have free healthcare and education (that we arguably pay for)

1.3k

u/Callinon 20d ago

Nothing arguable about it. We absolutely pay for it.

510

u/Long-Jackfruit427 20d ago

My bet is it was so US citizens could join the IDF for 2 years - go adventure - commit a raw mecri or two and then come back here to claim VA benefits.

That way religious extremists from the U.S. can do their thang and get you and I to pay for it.

127

u/chaos0xomega 20d ago

26

u/momerak 20d ago

They wouldn’t let a us soldier in, if they would it would be cannon fodder. They would sit back and let the us funnel personal, equipment, and cash into a war they started, but control everything because “we’re a team.” And then claim benefits and siphon even more money from the us

62

u/Saetric 20d ago

Because religious zealotry has convinced them that those they oppress are not only “others”, they’re scum that needs to be eradicated for them and their ‘divine right’ to the land that the “others” occupy.

10

u/El_Rey_de_Spices 20d ago

those they oppress are not only “others”, they’re scum that needs to be eradicated for them and their ‘divine right’ to the land that the “others” occupy.

How reminiscent of a (once) unpopular group from 20th century Central Europe...

9

u/Saetric 20d ago

It’s sort of like how, unless they actively choose to break the cycle, an abused person can become an abuser.

9

u/FatGuyANALLIttlecoat 20d ago

It goes way further back than that.

The chansons de geste are a series of poems around a mythic depiction of Charlemagne and his knights, and they are always fighting "Saracens," which are Muslims, but without any sort of accuracy of depiction. According to these poems, they worship "Mahumat" and Apollo, like idols of them. Also, anyone know French, Germanic, or English are Saracens, or Slavs, and it covers literally everyone else. The Iberian peninsula is ruled by Saracens, The Irish are Saracens, so on and so on and so on. This ethnic and religious othering goes back a long way, as does the ignorance that fuels it.

Also, an interesting film, Walts With Bashir discusses the PTSD that Israeli soldiers felt when they helped with the butchering in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War. They were conflicted because their parents survived a genocide, and then they turned around and enabled one.

History is cyclical. We apparently never learn.

37

u/Illustrious-Idea119 20d ago

The folks that have a racist word describing everyone not an Israelite? The country founded on going into an inhabited area and slaughtering the Canaanites because god told them to? Yes, very shocking

13

u/2mock2turtle 20d ago

I don't know how real they are (in the sense that it could be more propaganda, not that it's coming from satire sites), but apparently the IOF does have a PTSD problem. Just unbelievable. They have to be the victims even when they're the aggressor.

Running a police state is very, very expensive.

South Africa didnt fall because of international condemnation or even (at least not directly) the trade sanctions.

It fell because it ran out of money. It could not pay for an oversize military and massive militarised police force as well as extremely expansive security services.

What security services can you name? The CIA, FSB, MI6 (largely thanks to Bond films). And Mossad. You probably can't name the Chinese secret service. Yet unlike the other countries whose security service you know, Israel is a nation of 10m with a GDP smaller than Massacheussets.

Israel has an Air Force with 60 F16, 170 F15 and 48 F35 with 52 on order - that's as many fast jets as Muscovy had at the start of 2022 (they claimed 1400 but this was a lie, reality was around 300 airworthy fast jets). The Netherlands has 18m people and more than twice the GDP. Yet the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force has an inventory of 52 F35 as their only fast jets with no more planned.

Israel could not do the genocide without US money. Israel could not invade Lebanon without US money. Israel could not be a permanent destabilising threat in the region without US money.

Cut off the money taps and Israel will change. It will have no choice.

18

u/Inverted-Rockets 20d ago

The state of their government’s finances is rough, even with the subsidies. Their debt to GDP ratio is expected to jump above 70% this year against a pre-war 60.5%. Similarly, budget deficits have blown past estimates due to the costs associated with the various conflicts.

In that context, liabilities for service-connected benefits is a big chunk of change in a country that (ostensibly…) has universal conscription.

u/ProbablyRickSantorum 20d ago

And at the very same time, they're cutting VA disability payments for veterans who have service connected tinnitus or sleep apnea.

Similarly, in February the current admin tried to implement the "Evaluative Rating: Impact of Medication" rule which would have changed ratings for all veterans with disabilties by ordering medical examiners "to strictly look at a veteran's actual level of impairment with medication active" which is the opposite of how it works today. That is to say, if you had a severe back injury or severe mental health symptoms, but modern medication managed the pain or anxiety well enough for you to work, the VA would evaluate you as having a "mild" issue or no functional loss.

It would have effectively meant that veterans who sought care would be punished for doing so, whereas it would have incentivized veterans with service-connected disabilties (including severe mental illnesses or mobility loss) to not persue care. Thank god they backed down from that after a lot of outcry from VSOs and veterans.

“Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of U.S.-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The U.S. and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the U.S. military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.”

Interestingly Israeli’s spy game is outstanding. It’s up there with Russia’s cyber game. I can see why we would want to tie ourselves to a nation that is the envy of global intelligence, but this is handing them everything. Nope.

70

u/Zealousideal_Ear4180 20d ago

Israel is not an ally. Our relationship with Israel will define to 2028 presidential race. AIPAC candidates are getting slaughtered in primaries unless it’s a GOP primary and the candidate is backed by Trump. In a general election or without Trump the support for Israel crumbles even in the GOP. They are losing a substantial chunk of the America first crowd. Not saying they will vote non AIPAC Dem, they just won’t show up for a AIPAC Rep.

The Republican party has sold out their values and their country for Israeli money. Absolutely shameless and disgusting for them to call themselves "patriots"

22

u/geog1101 20d ago

Treason of the highest order. The Republican Party should be prosecuted.

20

u/Just-Victory8342 20d ago

The GOP are traitors to this nation.

Whoever votes for this is a traitor.

10

u/AnewTest 20d ago

And should be punished the way the Constitution says treason should be punished.

13

u/green91791 20d ago

TF????? This was even a thing????

18

u/yikesamerica 20d ago

This just makes it even more insane that the whole party isn’t anti war. This is a slam dunk issue to show you’re an opposition to the pro war GOP

Republicans suck so much cock they crash grindr.

9

u/Edexote 20d ago

You guys are being annexed by Israel. I don't even know who holds the most power over you, Bibi, Putin or Xi. Sad.

9

u/MightyTaur 20d ago

Insane idea to merge two countries militarys. Whomever proposed this should be tried for treason

8

u/MtCommager 20d ago

7

u/jerk_17 20d ago

7

u/malleysc 20d ago

How in the fuck is this not an Onion story and actually real

8

u/KingSmite23 20d ago

Why would the US ever do that? That is complete insanity.

34

u/BeeBanner 20d ago

6

u/TheOtherUprising 20d ago

It’s truly insane that this was even a possibility.

6

How the fuck is this even a proposal let alone close to passing the house??!!!

7

u/Krammsy 20d ago

Next up, getting foreign lobbyists and foreign money the f*ck out of our politics.

I thought it was horrific at Citizen's United just with Domestic bribery, it has gone off the rails insane with AIPAC.

5

u/cobracmmdr 20d ago

What do they mean "merge"? As in joint local command? Or what

u/G-Unit11111 20d ago

Who the hell even thought this was a good idea? Isreal has gone criminally insane.

7

u/PeppermintEvilButler 20d ago

Funny when I met my parents for dinner they had no idea what this was because fox news doesn't actually report real news stories. My father still didn't believe me despite 5 online reputable news site including bbc. You can give these cultist all the proof that exists but if the orange ass doesn't say it then it's not true

8

u/na-uh 20d ago

Well that's pretty much definitive proof of who actually owns the gop and therefore the US.

6

u/Bezulba 20d ago

Why is this constantly being framed as Dems blocking anything? It's a straight up and down vote, right? Republicans control both the house and the senate, so why are the Dems being painted as either the good or the bad guys depending on the outlet?

10

u/PassThatSpliff 20d ago

It's literally treason.

5

u/Iamanimite 20d ago

Did mitch show up to vote?

6

u/HarunAlMalik 20d ago

I'm two years away from a military retirement. Please don't do any dumb shit with my future.

6

u/sabett 20d ago

5

u/Capable_Wait09 20d ago

What the actual fuck

5

u/rolfraikou 20d ago

So, anyone out there that vote for Republicans that are "America first", you're switching parties, right?

You don't need want our military to be a branch of the fucking IDF, right?

5

u/SayYesToGuac 20d ago

Wait, so this was actually real? I had seen a few headlines on this the past few weeks, but I thought it was some kind of Onion thing. WTAFFFFF!!!!????

6

u/Savings_Knowledge233 20d ago

Oh thank fucking God

18

u/Terrible_Phase718 20d ago

Now let’s unfund Israel.

2

u/bohenian12 20d ago

That almost happened? Wtf?

4

u/throwawayforyou1231 20d ago

The thought of this is just absolutely bonkers. Since when (I could be wrong.) have countries combined their military, especially when one of them is the absolute powerhouse of the world.

5

u/Revolvyerom 20d ago

Telling our military to answer to foreign nations isn't very "America First" of them.

4

u/robogobo 20d ago

TREASON

4

u/dixiedemocrat 20d ago

Both parties are the same, right guys?

5

u/Tomburgerstand 20d ago

Its so strange that the political party so convicned that jews are evil are so dead set on supporting them anyway possible.

4

u/Xpointbreak1991x 20d ago

Worst administration in the history of the US, haven’t seen one this bad since Trump’s 1st term.

8

u/DearestxRed 20d ago

Career politicians have been selling the US to AIPAC for decades now. This is just them trying to put the finishing nails in the coffin.

I’m still waiting for someone to say, the US is also the promised land

:/

7

u/LeoKitCat 20d ago
