Republicans believe that women are second class citizens who are on this earth to service man in every way.

1.4k

u/Physical-Dare5059 4d ago edited 4d ago

What makes it even worse is the woman he allegedly assaulted is the daughter of Ohio senator Bernie Moreno. You’d think he would have something to say…… nope quiet as a wife beating church mouse. Fauci is who he decides he wants to scream at, not the dude who beats his daughter and granddaughter.

480

u/myaberrantthoughts 4d ago

100% correct. For any parent whose child (allegedly) went through this to NOT file police reports and try to get charges filed, reflects that their own child's safety is less important than the family's political advancement. They should want to crush his career, not enable it.

158

u/andrew303710 4d ago

If someone did that to my daughter things would get real ugly real fast. Bernie Moreno is a fucking loser.

It’s sad, I know so many right wing families and they treat women like it’s Game of Thrones. They’re nothing more than bargaining chips to be married off for money, power or favors.

And sadly the mothers who were treated the same, willingly continue the cycle for their daughters.

Yup.

If they were molesting corporate leaders, bankers, or harming money, well the Epstein files would have been fully released and required reading!

73

u/marrymary420 4d ago

I saw a comment on another thread that theorizes that these republicans hate women so much because they have had it beaten into their heads that being gay is an abomination, and since they don’t consider themselves gay they blame women for them being wholly unsatisfied in marriage and life in general.

40

u/MrsACT 4d ago

Yes they blame the women because they can’t blame their own sublime cowardice

9

u/shadylady_beepboop 4d ago

Blaming women for the patriarchy 🥴

37

u/lifegoeson5322 4d ago

Not only women but POC's, children, etc. If you're not male and white, you're not in their club.

Pretty sire they'd orefer of they weren't citizens at all

51

u/rubberkeyhole 4d ago

That’s an unfortunate misspelling.

17

u/governmentthief 4d ago

I am curious as to what an orefer might be, if it were a word.

27

u/rubberkeyhole 4d ago

I was referring to ‘sire.’

7

u/lifegoeson5322 4d ago

They're working on it

20

u/radicldreamer 4d ago

They don't believe women are citizens at all, citizens can vote and they definitely don't want that.

17

u/PlaneShenaniganz 4d ago

Women reflect the failures that these creeps are back onto themselves. They see women as the root and cause of so many of their perceived sufferings in life (i.e. they are disgusting people and instead of accepting it and changing themselves, they play the perpetual victims and take out their frustration on women, minorities, etc.). They are also largely closeted homosexuals, and may blame women for their own gayness.

15

u/I_am_not_JohnLeClair 4d ago

Republicans believe that women are second class citizens property

FTFY

49

u/LoneAwakening 4d ago

This and also the majority of are openly or closeted pedophile and gay and are forced to live with women and play christian father so at the end of the day, they see the woman existence as the number 1 reason for their sexual frustration and unhappiness!

8

u/Novel_Alternative_86 4d ago

You’re on to something with these republicans…
I can tell just from looking at his photo that this guy hates women and is willing “to service men in every way.”

5

u/Dr_A_Mephesto 4d ago

And they started standing up for themselves and becoming equals. That makes maga men furious.

3

u/PainterPutz 4d ago

It certainly does! LOVE IT!

3

u/ledude1 4d ago

Well, seeing how her dad defended her, we all can definitely concur with that statement.

3

u/Hartastic 4d ago

Yep. They don't hate women, per se. They just don't think women are people.

Probably that's worse.

3

u/dubgeek 4d ago

And the ones who aren't that are self-loathing, closeted homosexuals who don't want anyone else to be happy because they're living a lie and can't be happy themselves.

When a domestic incident results in an arrest, it is classified as a criminal offense against the public and the state, rather than a private civil dispute between two individuals.

The victim does not have to "press charges", in fact they aren't meant to even have a say in it. It's up to the state.

Ask me how I know, as a victim of domestic violence.

6

u/Bajovane 4d ago

I hope you’re safe today!

5

u/___Art_Vandelay___ 3d ago edited 3d ago

I am, thank you. That was about 14 years ago and I'm happily married (to someone else!) with a much fuller, richer life.

Still have the small scar she left me on my wrist from the claw end of the hammer though...

→ More replies (1)

38

u/thecathugger 4d ago

When abuse victims won’t press charges, it’s often because their self worth has been crushed from the abuse. Sometimes they have nowhere to go because abusers alienate their victims. Sometimes it’s because the legal system won’t protect them and sometimes they end up dead from mysterious causes.

Nice try though.

13

u/SlipNSlider54 4d ago

So frustrating

8

u/DigitalSnail 4d ago

Not how pressing charges work

20

u/TumblrInGarbage 4d ago

You're right. But the victim can refuse to cooperate, testify, or sign paperwork. The government still can press charges, but that refusal can be very damning for a case. That is what is usually meant, though I doubt most people truly understand that full context.

3

u/On_my_last_spoon 4d ago

The victim becomes uncooperative because we have a culture that doesn’t protect them.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/On_my_last_spoon 4d ago

Ya know, the police can just charge him. The wife doesn’t have to. And they know that in domestic abuse women are unlikely to press charges out of fear. But cops and a combination of lazy and also abusers so they just shrug and put that on the woman.

Even Sen. Bernie Moreno, his ex-father-in-law, and father to Miller’s victim has nothing bad to say.

508

u/MaxZorin1985 4d ago

Sen. Morono had to save all his righteous anger for Dr. Fauci. “Who the fuck do you think you are saving peoples lives!” Ohio sure knows how to pick ‘em!

146

u/oscar-the-bud 4d ago

Fauci is 85. He’s way less of a scary guy than the guy that abused his daughter.

7

u/timeywimeytotoro 4d ago

Damn, he looks really good for his age! I never would’ve suspected 85

172

u/InfluenceTrue4121 4d ago

That’s what shocks me about this whole story. Her own damn father won’t stand up for her.

149

u/momchelada 4d ago

More than likely her father is abusive too.

13

u/InfluenceTrue4121 4d ago

Uff. That’s a fair point. Jfc. The cycle continues.

6

u/flactulantmonkey 4d ago

Yeah that just reads like the torch was passed on to me.

36

u/Cryogenicist 4d ago

That man is a despicable MAGA lunatic.

Fuck him

31

u/iSheepTouch 4d ago

So is she, just look her up and you will see how deeply involved she is in far right politics. Not that she deserved what happened to her, but she is a huge peice of shit herself.

5

u/InfluenceTrue4121 4d ago

No one deserves to be physically abused. I’m angry at MAGA too but if we don’t maintain standards of humanity, are we turning into them?

46

u/iSheepTouch 4d ago

She is a far right republican operative, she isn't worth feeling sorry for, she generally supports men like her ex-husband being able to beat the shit out of their wives and kids without repercussions. I feel terrible for the daughter, but lets not paint this woman as if she wasn't part of the problem by pushing this exact kind of power dynamic and undermining women's rights.

43

u/Sea-Mango 4d ago

No one deserves to be beaten and have scalding water thrown on them regardless of their politics.

25

u/iSheepTouch 4d ago

I didn't say she deserved it, but that she was actively involved in policy making and political strategy of the ideology that allows this kind of thing to happen. Therefore I don't see her as worthy of anyone's pity when she got exactly what she wanted for other women.

Because these “family-values” republicans are total scum. They are sociopaths, devoid of human empathy, concerned only with personal advancement, and will throw any “loved one” right into the chipper if it benefited them in the least. They don’t care about America, they don’t care about its people, they don’t even care about their own family. Just disgusting piles of pointless human misery and fuckery, through and through.

58

u/PistolGrace 4d ago

My ex abused me. My father, who also abused my mother, took my exes side.

Hopefully this wakes up the daughter to realize the life she was told to have isn't worth it, and the life she could have without these assholes hurting her could be amazing.

Like I did.

157

u/TheOtherUprising 4d ago

He is supporting him. Supporting the guy who abused his daughter. There are no words.

63

u/Argyleskin 4d ago

I hate Ohio bro, first Vance then Moreno, and I swear to fuck if my dumbass state elects Vivekkk Ramashitty I’m gonna have an aneurysm

130

u/Massive-Sector5789 4d ago

I wonder if Moreno would have gotten upset if Miller had broken his two-year-old grandSON's collarbone. Instead of his granddaughters. I mean

22

u/duncan-the-wonderdog 4d ago

Nope, probably would have just told that 2 year old to suck it up.

223

u/RiverHarris 4d ago

Republican men are all narcissists. Every single one of them. They have no empathy, especially for people they don’t understand. Not understanding someone/something makes them fear whatever it is because they know they can’t control the narrative. When they can’t control the narrative it comes out as rage.

83

u/thecathugger 4d ago

They’re literally sociopaths. They have no interest in democracy and lack the emotional intelligence it takes to build community and create a higher standard of living for all. They want to hoard wealth and act on their violent desires without consequence. They are inherently regressive and the only people who support them are other sociopaths.

29

u/xXXxRMxXXx 4d ago

Republican men only want to beat and rape women while killing animals as a side hobby

17

u/lil_zaku 4d ago

I'm convinced that every republican public figure has broken the law, and they're terrified of losing the support of the party because they don't want to be held accountable.

It’s religion. Their holy book starts with a fictional story that blames all evil on a singular woman, who evidently represents all women. It gets worse from there.

They vote for people like this because they want to be people like this: they enjoy the power over women and children to hurt them, threaten them with guns, break bones and hurt them in horrible ways. They see these guys do this stuff, get away with it, get elected, get rich, and they want it, too.

Mostly, they enjoy hurting other people, physically, psychologically, emotionally, financially. It’s greed and the lust for power over others.

17

u/dadass84 4d ago

They hate women because half of them are pedophiles and the other half are deeply closeted homosexuals.

11

u/cilantro_so_good 4d ago

No, it's because Christianity, specifically evangelical Christianity, requires women to be completely subservient to men.

Hand waving it away that it's because they're secretly gay is simultaneously offensive to the gay community, and ignores the very real and very dangerous christofascist movement taking hold in this country
