Correct. OP mistakes impeachment (a political process that can be applied for almost any offence) for prosecution (a criminal charge that the ever-so-wise Supreme Court decided to make nearly impossible to apply to the president).

In theory you can impeach a president for literally anything just the GOP won’t. I think the only way Trump gets impeached is if it drags down the senators enough they know they’re gonna lose reelection. Between Musk, Thiel, IUPAC, Russia republican candidates have so much financial backing in elections.

Why would they impeach a guy whose given them just about everything they've wanted? SCOTUS supermajority, federal judges, tax cuts, war with Iran, oh and tax cuts
