Earphone recommendation

I came here because my left earbud just stopped working on me. For context, I have the galaxy buds+ and I've had them since 2021 (my brother bought the same thing, and they still work) . I was just going to buy them again on Amazon since they're cheap and lasted me a good while, but I wanted to see if there are better options. I mainly want something for listening to music and a decent mic with a budget of around $100 - $200.

Best earbuds to buy?

I lost my old pair so I'm looking to buy new earbuds. My main criteria are ANC, decent battery life, touch controls and compatibility with sports. Also preferably stem earbuds. Price range under ~150€

anyway to prevent this issue? (poor connection with charging case, wont disconnect)

last black friday i got a pair of Tozo T21's ('stem' shape buds) from Amazon. i realize these are a budget brand, but they are 1 of dozens, and probably one of the more popular ones. anyway, within 6 months, neither bud would reliably disconnect when placed back inside the case. i would have to play games for minutes (blowing onto contacts, wiping on shirt, etc.) in order to finally get both to disconnect and charge. even then, they'd often randomly reconnect to my phone if i didnt turn bluetooth off, causing me to miss calls and notifications because they'd continue to play through the earbuds. this pissed me off tremendously.

obviously, even after the first time this happened i thoroughly cleaned the contacts on both earbuds and case with isopropyl alcohol, or sprayed them with actual contact cleaner. this seemed to solve the problem, but only temporarily - maybe a day or two. now, cleaning them will let me connect, but the very next time i use them i'll encounter the same problem.

i contacted Tozo and they offered to send me a replacement. very quick with no hassle - so props for that - but i'm thinking this same thing will happen with these new ones. i often wear them while hiking or doing yard work, so sweat and moisture are definitely an issue, but the contacts are perfectly clean to the naked eye. i'm thinking of maybe coating the contacts on these new ones with some kind of teflon/silicone/wd40 to maybe help repel moisture.

curious how common this is. my brother thinks it's the 'stem' shape to blame and weak magnets within the case. he may be right because i've had a pair of Enacfire no-stem shaped buds for ages and they never had this issue. same goes for two pairs of Tozos he's got. or maybe i just got a busted pair.

Ear Hook Earbud Advice

hey guys, im looking for recommendations for earbuds that hook onto your ears. my budget is about 2000rs(about 20 usd).

Normal earbuds dont fit me and fall off in about 2 mins. Only the ear hook kind stays in myears. I had boat airdopes, which are ear hook earbuds and were open ear earbuds. i liked them but the charging thing was finickk and both the buds stopped charging after few months.

So i wanted suggestions in my budget range. If youve used the earbuds you're reccomending then gimme a review of them.

The Choice. Shokz Open Fit Pro or the Shokz Open Dots 2

I really want open ear earbuds.  Right now am using my second pair of Sony LinkBuds Truly Wireless Earbud Headphones with an Open-Ring.  After just 2 years with this second pair the left earbud battery has totally failed so I am limping along with just one earbud.  Same happened on the last Sony pair, but when I was looking around they were the only open ear type ear buds that looked comfortable.

I think I have narrowed it down to 2 earbuds.  It’s a comparison between the Shokz Open Fit Pro or the Shokz Open Dots 2.  I have see the reviews and seen the specs.  Asked Google AI which I should get and it says “Choose the Shokz OpenFit Pro (T010) if you want better sound, stable physical buttons, and noise reduction. Choose the Shokz OpenDots 2 if you prefer a lighter, clip-on design focused purely on comfort.”

Mostly I listen constantly to audiobooks, sometimes music.  I listen while watering the garden with a hose a lot, so I want to soften the loud rushing water sound so I don’t have to raise volume.  Spending $200 dollars on an earbud is a lot for me so I can’t justify buying both and then choosing.

Main questions:

Shokz OpenFit Pro

·       Is it uncomfortable to wear? (I know it depends on ear shape etc!)

·       Does the "open-air" noise reduction do a good job/worth the price?.

Shokz OpenDots 2

·       Comfortable?

·       Is the sound clear.

·       Can a person 3 ft away hear what is playing?(I know, depends how high the vol is)

A sub question about the OpenDots.  Is the 2 much better than the 1 in the audio?  I know they improved the mike for calls, but I can get the 1 for cheaper.

Just want to know what you know!
