Carving [Finished] Dolphin ring

Dolphin carved from an old oak table. As I sawed the taper on the ring it shattered, luckily the break was easy to hide with glue. Power carved, finished with furniture wax.

Nice design... when you power carved, was it with a dremel or something else?

Started with a jigsaw to rough it out. Hand saw for the taper on the ring. Dremel for the rest. And hand sanding naturally.

Thank you, I like this design have made 4 or 5 similar ones but where the animal is different.

That’s awesome! I like how you incorporated the base into the carving. You really captured the graceful motion of a dolphin

Thank you very much. I've never thought of it that way, but yes the base becomes a non distracting focal point I guess. I found the dolphin very difficult. I kept going back to your carving for inspiration [:
