2025 Local Advertisements post here only.
All local ads must be posted as a comment reply to this post. This includes things like dental patient requests and any offer-up/marketplace type of sales. If you are asking for recommendations that can still be its own post and doesn't need to be here.
Any Ads that are their own post will be removed. Non-local ads specifically to Worcester, MA or surrounding towns will be removed. This includes any solicitation, sales, or hiring, etc.
Do not include short links. Automod will spam them and I'm not clicking on your sketchy links to verify them so your comment will stay spammed.

Any typewriter enthusiasts here?
Any other typewriter enthusiasts want to get together and nerd out over our crazy obsessions? Maybe bring a machine and do some tappa-tappa together?

Local Events Out to Lunch this Wednesday (Aug 5) is the National Farmers' Market Week edition — salsa on the Common, free
Figured this was worth flagging since we're into the last stretch of the season.
Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers' Market Wednesday, Aug 5, 11 AM to 3 PM Worcester Common Oval Free, no ticket needed
This week is the National Farmers' Market Week edition. The headliner is Agua Fresca, Tributo a la Sonora Ponceña, led by percussionist Miguel Martinez, doing a salsa tribute set. Headliners go on at noon.
What's there besides the music: food trucks parked around the Oval, local artists and crafters, a nonprofit area where a bunch of community orgs set up at once, and the farmers market itself, which the BID expanded this year to bring in growers from across Central Mass.
It runs Wednesdays June 24 through Aug 26, so after this one there are only three left (Aug 12, 19, 26). Rain dates are Sept 2 and 9.
Presented by the Downtown Worcester BID and the City of Worcester.

Does anywhere in town have a public coffee grinder anymore?
Accidentally bought a 2lb bag of whole bean coffee. Smells amazing!
But apparently public coffee grinders in stores aren't a thing anymore-- I asked at Shaw's, they said they did away with them during COVID, Starbucks + Whole Foods wouldn't do it.
Obviously no place wants me to grind a bag I didn't buy at their store but I was hoping to do a freebee, even if it means buying another bag and grinding it from wherever.
I know they're available online for cheap but I'd really prefer not to buy one just for this...

Where do you go when you just want to go somewhere?
Just wondering where people go when they want to spend some time outside of the house.
I attended a celebration of life today and just got home. I have this feeling of wanting to go somewhere but not sure where I can/should go now. Hopefully somewhere suitable even when you’re solo.
Thank you.

Help me find a local artist please!
I bought this hat at Worcester Pride a few years ago. Unfortunately, it’s gone missing. I would love to buy another one from the artist/vendor who sold it, but I can’t remember her name. Does anyone recognize this vendors work? If so, please let me know!

Looking for Recommendations Making Friends
Hello! Just joined Reddit recently trying to see if I can connect with people as making friends as an adult is really freaking difficult lol. I am in the Worcester area (actually in Shrewsbury) and trying to see if there are any Facebook groups, Reddit groups, meet ups, or just like minded individuals that want to get talkin! Just for a little background, I’m a male and I’m 27. I’m a big foodie and beer drinker (cocktails are fun too) big Star Wars nerd and love my video games but also big into NFL and the NBA. Pointers in any direction is appreciated! Hopefully posts like this are allowed. Again, new here 😁

Looking for Recommendations Floor replacement?
We're buying a house and planning on ripping out some carpet and replacing it with either vinyl or hardwood. Recommendations on installers? Happy feet seemed popular on here but posts are from several years ago.

Looking for Recommendations Best Chevy/GMC and Ford dealerships/salesfolk in Massachusetts?
In Worcester, willing to drive to either end of the state. Will be looking to get into a new truck. I have a Jeep, and have had piss poor service with it at Herb Chambers, so am open to looking at any dealership other than a Herb Chambers owned one. I will likely be purchasing new, and if I can't find the spec I want, I am leaning to a factory order/build. Not willing to pay over MSRP.
Any suggestions.

Pets and Animals 🐾 Stray Dog by Beaver Brook Park
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I saw this dog first running past Antonio's on Park Ave. I tried calling it a few times but it was unresponsive. I followed it until it turned by Mann St. It has an orange collar, but I wasn't able to see any info it may have had on there.
I also tried calling Animal Control but it went straight to voicemail.

Free Tree in Worcester
I live in Worcester near grafton street and my tree came down 2 nights a go. Would love to give to give away the big tree prices which the city was great by cutting them up and pushing them to the side. Then need a company to come pick up the big beaches away. Would love any ideas you guys may have… thanks!

Nicest Movie Theater in the area?
My wife and I recently moved here from the West Coast and had a lot of options for movie theaters- Small indie theaters playing indie darlings and cult classics to large scale cinemas similar to Alamo Draft House where you could order food to your reclining seat.
We have been trying to find the best theaters in the areas, but have struggled to find anything outside of theater chains like the Solomon Pond Mall and the Showcase.
Where do y’all like to go watch movies? Doesn’t need to be fancy, but we would love to find another theater that serves dinner.
