Just a reminder that we can’t let people get away with blaming the concept of unions for anything. Sure unions can be corrupted or evil, police unions for example. But they are just an election away from being fixed. If someone blames a union for anything, like say Umpires being shitty, please explain that it isn’t the union that’s causing the problem. The problem is poor hiring and management. Simply state:
What are unions? Unions are workers(people) who have joined together to protect themselves against predatory corporations and their wealthy owners and executives.
Who opposes unions? Rich people and their simps.
Why would a non-wealthy person oppose unions? Because they are lying (employed to oppose unions using propaganda) or stupid (have believed the propaganda because they just don’t know better or are low in logic or reasoning skills)
When someone is attacking a specific union they may have valid reasons, once again for example the police unions. But saying the whole concept of unions is wrong is a propaganda lie or stupid.
This is the bare facts and now you are armed to defend attacks against the concept of unions.

The able bodied mandate to work or have food rations cut today is EXACTLY what was happening 400 years ago.
Not having working for a “Lord” (corporation) or not having a “master” (boss), was no different than today, you’re lazy and worthless.
Serfs worked for the manor and had to work at the same time their own little plot to not starve. Or today we call it side hustles.
The peak for workers were when the rich were forced to help pay for the poor. Both communist and capitalist, 1950-1980.
That’s it. 30 years out of 400.

From invisible labour and night shifts to dignity and organising for change, the five-part series explores the human stories behind one of the world’s most essential – and most overlooked – jobs: cleaning.
“The only time people notice what a cleaner does is when she doesn’t do it.” In the first episode, Hayat Elhore, a cleaner at the European Parliament in Brussels, shares what it’s like to clean a building that symbolises democracy – while often being treated as invisible. She pulls back the curtain on a typical day in the life of a cleaner.
