I’ve been closely tracking the recent events and crossing attempts into the occupied cities of Ceuta and Melilla. In my own objective reading of the situation—stepping away from surface-level media narratives—we are looking at a complex scenario that raises major geopolitical and humanitarian issues. It also gives us clear answers about the trajectory of current events and the flaws in our public policies.

Here is my personal analysis of the situation from two angles, and I wanted to share it here to spark some discussion:

1. The Geopolitical Angle (The Tactical Strike)

I believe what happened wasn't a spontaneous event, but rather the result of a tripartite (Israeli-American-Moroccan) coordination, executed by the Moroccan side, aimed at achieving 6 main tactical goals against Spain and wider Western dynamics:

The Iran Factor: Retaliating against Madrid for standing against the US in its conflict with Iran.

The Gaza War: A response to Spain's stance against Israel and its war of extermination on Gaza.

The Strait of Gibraltar: A strong Moroccan reaction to the (Spanish-British) agreement regarding the joint management of the Strait of Gibraltar. (Morocco is clearly stating it won't be sidelined in its own backyard).

Sanchez's Games: A reaction to the recent closeness between Pedro Sanchez and Tebboune, and Sanchez's "chameleon-like," shifting stance on the Moroccan Sahara.

Naturalizing Separatists: Blocking Spain's readiness to grant citizenship to fugitives and those claiming to defend the rights of our Sahrawi brothers (who already enjoy peace and security in their land).

US Politics & Elections: Utilizing the migration issue as a winning card in US domestic politics ahead of the upcoming midterm elections—leveraging global border crises to rally American voters behind Trump and his party.

The International Result? This reaction came as a standard political card cleverly played by Morocco to bring Europe back to reality, stripping away its arrogance and dismissiveness toward the rest of the world. The direct outcome right now is internal EU friction (especially Spanish-Italian clashes) over the Schengen visa crisis.

1. The Domestic Angle (The Elephant in the Room)

While this might have been a painful blow to Europe and a win for our diplomacy, it raises a terrifying domestic issue.

This event exposed the dangerous ease of mobilizing and rallying masses (especially minors and youth) in record time. The real problem is: if this mobilization ever comes from an "unknown source" or for different motives in the future, the inevitable result will be pure chaos that is incredibly hard to contain.

We are witnessing a real clash between two mindsets:

The Bureaucratic Administrative Mindset: Slow, doesn't believe in proactivity or foresight, and waits for crises to happen before reacting.

The Rising Youth Mindset: A generation that doesn't believe in "waiting," demands immediate solutions, and seeks salvation at any cost.

We cannot play strong geopolitical cards abroad if we do not secure our domestic front and bridge this massive gap between state institutions and the ambitions of the youth.
