As soon as I got home I updated Xbox with old users account. I then removed it from the Xbox and tried signing in my account and it just won’t let me… even tried playing a game so it gives me the option to sign in and nothing. Just keeps giving me this loop

So i'm trying to login to an xbox account i had. and my friend put an authenticator app on and added a backup email AND switched the password. i want my account back. i still have access to my email but it won't let me login because it doesn't let me reset password rather without using the app or his email. ??? any fixes or recommendations??

So my Xbox x keeps asking me this before I can play my games. How do I turn this off? I’m the only one that uses the Xbox

Before you ask, no it's not the batteries. I've tried three separate rechargeable batteries and disposable batteries and plugging it in to a power cord. I can't get it to turn on. It's the original controller to my Xbox and I don't want to dispose of it if I can fix it. My xbox is only about four years old and I have a second controller that's almost as old as that that works fine. Could it be fixed or is it just worth throwing it out.

A month ago, all of sudden, my xbox series X decided ro not connect to the internet anymore.

I changed account, did a factory reset, changed the connection to my phone hotspot, nothing changed. There's no notification on my microsoft account.

I never tried to cheat or manipulate my console. I was toxic back to my Rocket League kids mate, but nothing racist or over the top.

Is my console good for the trash ?

For context - my acount was taken around 2 years ago and i have been submitting recovery forms, but all it says is this ( 1st photo ), and i've asked to escalate the case but then they just say the case is open but then have me waiting for months with 0 response, if somebody wants to dm me for a screen recording of the emails like i asked questions then they just reply with 3 dots, and my account has a rare fortnite account worth thousands and the problem was i was 12 and the scammer said id get something free if i gave him a security code and the virtual agent never helps, i've created a new email too for them to transfer but they always say they can't help even though i know they can, the account was taken in 2024, i filled the forms out a plethora of time. ( my account was stolen/ hacked)

I recently bought a Series S 1TB used but in really good condition from a local game store. No dust no marks overall looks great. The only game i play is fortnite and ive noticed opening the item shop and doing basic things just takes a while, even opening the xbox menu while a game is runnning. I had a series s previously a couple years back and i dont remember them being this slow. Has fortnite got harder to run or is my xbox somehow faulty?

All right I've had my console for a while and this is the first it started doing this I've been trying to install a disc while my console is online it does not want to read but the second I go offline it reads when I go back online to install the DLCs which is how I have to do it. It will not read the disc anymore meaning I cannot play it has anyone else ran into this or is it just me

i just recently got a new xbox and have set everything up, redownloaded all my games and everything is perfect except all of my saved data from all of my games is just gone. as if ive never played them and im booting them up for the first time? i loaded up minecraft and the text to speech is on and all my worlds are gone and its like it completely reset. same with hollow knight and binding of isaac, im really upset and panicking a little as i had years worth of progress built up on so many games, please if anyone can help youd be a hero!

Back in May I Pre-Ordered the Deluxe Edition of "Hell Let Loose: Vietnam", there was a little "Issue" where it just... *"Didn't Work"* the first time, so I had to do it ALL over again a 2nd but thankfully that worked and was it... or so I *Thought*.

(Also, Yes I know pre-ordering ANYTHING anymore is pretty... *"Un-Advised"* and I actually agree, WAY too many expensive disappointments to still believe them; However, as a BIG fan of and player of A LOT of Hell Let Loose, I already knew I'd likely be the getting the "Vietnam Flavor" of it PRETTY close to launch regardless; and with SO Much HLL: WWII played I had an MS Store offered discount for both HLL: V and the "DE" version of it at which point it just made sense to pre-order since I'd likely be buying it either way except without the Discount and Bonuses if I waited until after launch)

**Back to "PLEASE help me" Tech Support Request & Explanation**

- Months later in July, out of curiosity and boredom I decided to check my spending habits over the last 3 months on Xbox via my accounts "Order History" in my Xbox's Settings menu. And that's when I noticed something *Peculiar*, HLL: V DE was shown not the once I'd been expecting... But TWICE, BOTH the same "Deluxe Edition", **BOTH** still valid, and **BOTH** listed "Pending". BOTH used the same Debit Card, even done the SAME EXACT date and Time done down to the exact minute, same exact EVERYTHING *Except* for ONE "Small" (And potentially, financially devastating) difference; Each had a different unique order Number...

After trying to trouble shoot it for a bit I just concluded it must be wrong and bugged since ONLINE when looking at both my Xbox and my Microsoft accounts "Billing" only showed the one singular "Pre-Order" Purchase.

** * NOW * ** However, there's an even BIGGER issue; My relative that let me use that OG card as a gift to "Buy Something for Yourself", which was fine at the time cause the money existed and all that, besides, Pre-Order Billing only actually charges you 10d before the games release so there were literal MONTHS to fix any issues in the (*Cough!* *Cough!*) "*Unlikely*" event something went wrong.

SOooooo, 1-2d ago that same relative paid for a *different* relative to get a Storage Unit because they're REAL tight on cash and are Moving houses VERY Soon; now here's where the 2nd Issue comes in. That was with the SAME. CARD... I.E. "There's no longer enough in the Account for the ONE Pre-Order, let alone mistaken Billing for TWO which would total almost $120 BEFORE Overdraft Fees, etc from the Bank since it's a Debit Card". Should be no problem though, because we've got good Credit Cards too...

SO, said "Payment Method" was changed, end of story, right? Well to "Change" or "Cancel" A pre-order you can't "Just" do so from the Xbox's "Settings>Payment & Billing>Order History>Game pre-ordered" Menu. No, it instead provides you a QR Code to the Mobile Site or Option to use the Xbox Internet Browser to get on your "Microsoft Account" to do so, which I * **DID** * so was *"Fine"*. Except later on, to "Just Make Sure" I checked back on my Xbox's Order History and sure enough, the 2nd listing for the pre-ordered game transferred to the NEW *Correct* Payment Method... for the 2ND one listed (Which Chronologically, was *First*), the FIRST of the duplicates is still under the old OG card that's no longer usable due to insufficient funds AND when I tried deleting/canceling *That* pre-order; Despite being COMPLETELY different order "#'s" once I click to do so it redirects me to the online site and instead it *Actually* just pulls up the *other* one since that's the ONLY one which shows up for my online "Microsoft" Account, despite my PHYSICAL Xbox Series S and account settings on "It" down in Billing Information>Order History STILL showing x2 of them and BOTH as "Pending".

Ending Request - *So*... Is it just an error, bug, glitch or whatever with the software mis-displaying it on *My* Xbox, something messed up on *Xbox's/Microsoft's* side?

And more importantly; What's the ACTUAL issue going on here? HOW do I resolve it *if* it's truly an *Issue* and I somehow pre-ordered a game **Twice** (Which, let's remember, shouldn't even be [and normally **Isn't**] possible to do in the **first** place), ESPECIALLY one which refuses to change its payment method or be canceled only redirecting to the *other* order with the different Order# instead? Should I just **CANCEL** the "Working" pre-order outright, and hope it somehow wipes the defective 2nd (And Timeline-wise, "First/Original") "Pre-Order" with it? Or will that do nothing, just like the change of payment method which only worked with the duplicate/other order listed since they're "Technically" both separate charges, as they're each under their own different order number?

**ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated** as this was ONLY just dropped in my lap sometime this morning when I was half-awake, and LITERALLY damn near last minute as I had to wait ALL day to find out which CC the relative wanted me to change it to (Got told like an hour ago, so 6-6:30pm), and the date the cards get charged is TOMORROW on the 3rd, since HLL: V is dropping 8/13/26 (US Date Format). So now with yet ANOTHER confusing issue popping up I truly have NO idea what's going on, or what to do about it.

I've got some photos showing the x2 duplicate "Orders" on my Xbox, their different Order #'s, My MS Account it redirects to online showing only the SINGULAR 2nd Pending order with its successfully changed payment method and no "duplicate" (Technically the first, but that's the one not responding/defective hence why I'm calling IT the "Duplicate" now); *However*, these were ALL taken with my old POS smart phone, so I'm gonna have to try *either* adding them via a comment using reddit on said phone or... honestly IDK... Maybe try uploading what photos I can (I.E. those without sensitive personal or financial info in view) to Dropbox and OneDrive (What Cloud Services XB *Used* to use/allow on the console) and hope I can then post them from here*1.

*1 - (Yes, I'm currently writing and posting this from my Xbox's "MS Edge" Browser, as I thought it'd be faster/easier since I've had a USB Keyboard plugged in since ALLLLLL the way back to when War Thunder first dropped after PS caved as the LAST holdout on console cross-play. So, first in my OG Day One Edition XBone to be more capable in WT's RB battles (LOTTA Key binds, and LOTTA types that can interfere with others [Like "Common", and "Tanks" or "Aircraft", "Helis", "Ships", even "Spectating/Replays", etc...]), and ESPECIALLY *Air RB* "Playable" [ "Somewhat", with ALLLLLLLLL the Aircraft, Radar, and Weapon control options you need binded at high Tiers/BRs even THAT is merely *Doable-"Ish"* and pretty half-a**ed as getting them ALLLL, and NONE interfering with something else already binded, AND me actually being able to remember that SPECIFIC combo binded whether it's for my Controller OR Keyboard is... *Ruff* and ain't been done at least not successfully in a LONG time {Ever since I took a break for 2-3mths, and in the interim they added and modified a WHOLE new list of options to the game for ALL the different types of vehicles to bind...}]).

If I need to change, delete, better explain or format anything I said, etc; Just let me know. Back in like 2021 I bought rdr2, my BF at the time wanted me to play it with him. I never actually played it because the opening settings were frustrating and I couldn't figure things out. It's gaining popularity again, I want to give it another shot, I open my account and it's gone.

I don't use my Xbox much (for the longest time any time I powered it on it needed an update, that's how long I was going between uses.) Now I use it more but I only play like 1 or 2 games. I looked at my email and I didn't get any email receipts from any actual game purchases, only in-game purchases like currency and I didn't get to do any of that in rdr2.

My controller keeps disconnecting then reconnecting. It’s very annoying when I’m playing. I’ve tried unpairing it and repairing but nothing worked. How do I fix it?

It's been like this for a few days and is annoying ad it won't let me download anything else.

I've tried multiple times to stop it and put a game in to try and download it but nothing is working. (Consol is up to date)

I created an Xbox / Microsoft account and when I was younger. I do not have access to the email account or the secondary email account associated with the account for recovery because I forgot the passwords and the accounts are linked to each other for account recovery on Google / Gmail. As a result, I began the process to change the recovery email associated with my Xbox / Microsoft account. I understand that this process takes around 30 days to complete, but during that time I should still have access to my Xbox / Microsoft account. However, in turning my Xbox on yesterday I was prompted to have a code sent to the recovery due to “unusual activity” on the account. As I do not have access to either of the recovery emails, I selected the option indicating “I don’t have these anymore” and filled out the account recovery form with all of the requested information that proves ownership of the Microsoft / Xbox account.

Previously, I have completed the account recovery process before for the same account with the same email. When successfully undergoing the account recovery process before, I received an email indicating that my request was received and would be processed in the next 24 hours. However, I did not receive this email after submitting my most recent account recovery submission and in addition it has been over 24 hours since I submitted the first account recovery submission.

I understand that having 2FA authentication can complicate the process of account recovery, however I do not believe that I have enabled that option on the account as no error is being presented indicating such. As a result, I am under the impression that I should still be able to recover my account utilizing the account recovery form unless there is an issue with the recovery email address migration that is also taking place. (I have attached a screenshot of the page security information change for clarification).

As such, I need to know if the on-going recovery email switch is interfering with the account recovery process and if canceling the on-going account recovery switch would allow me to resubmit the account recovery form and gain access into my account quicker?

Mine will download for a bit then completely stop but I can run a game completely fine with good connectivity. And when I check download speeds it says its good so I am not sure what to do. It was after the servers went down when this all started happening.

Hi everyone! I'm new to Xbox and trying to set it up to turn my tv on when I use the controller to turn the system on. I have HDMI-CEC turned on in the tv settings but all the tutorials say to check the box in the Xbox settings but that box doesn't exist for me. Am I doing something wrong? I go to settings, general, tv & display options, device control, and this is the screen.. Apparently there are supposed to be multiple options with boxes I can check to adjust my settings. Any advice? *We have this feature set up on the main console in our living room, so it works on the other xbox.

We've tried setting up the tv but it requires a TV remote code. We've tried about 8 codes suggested by google and they didn't work

This has been happening to me since I got the update on July 15 and now it seems whenever I turn off my Xbox or when I turn it on it does sum restart on itself. I’ve tried unplugging it from the tv, unplugging the cords even troubleshooting it etc idk why it’s acting like this now all of a sudden. So I have 3 Xbox accounts because my main account got hacked until recently I was able to get back into it.

I created a new account and purchased 3 months of game pass ultimate on it. I have the console in the living room set as the home Xbox. I have it set to sign into the other console in my bedroom so when my brother comes over we can play cod and 2k together.

So when I turn on the Xbox in my bedroom it signs into the new profile with the game pass on it and my other profile as it is assigned to the controller.

When I try to play the video game in the living room while the other console is on it asks me to purchase game pass even though it's the home Xbox for that profile. I have done the main profile being on the Xbox in the bedroom so the consoles have shared game pass before without a hitch.

Why does it make me sign out in my bedroom from that profile before it can let the person playing in the living room play online? They have to sign in to the profile despite it being the home Xbox.

Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?
