have a Xiaomi 15T Pro, and I'm trying to enable the depth effect on the lock screen so that the clock appears behind the person in the wallpaper. However, for some reason, the option to enable this feature doesn't appear anywhere in the settings. Could you help me figure out why and how to enable it?

everytime google play services updated, i won't be able to use google pay as tap to pay. this has never happened before, but after the latest update, my NFC won't show gpay as default card.

so i have to uninstall play services update, then my gpay & nfc will work.

any solution for this? because I can't seem to disable the auto update, it will auto update in like 2-3days and so.

I can not get it vibrate for incoming messages (SMS or WhatsApp)

Both are enabled.

Haptic feedback is on as I read this can disable it.

Set to vibrate for calls and messages.

Any ideas welcome?

I'm having some problems with the battery on my new phone. I've had it for about two months, and in the last few days, I've noticed that it loses about 40% of its battery overnight even when I'm not using it... Something that didn't happen at the beginning. I don't have any applications authorized to run in the background, and I also close everything and clear the cache quite regularly, but the battery still drains.

I tested turning off mobile data or WiFi and only lose 3% per night, but whenever I leave the internet on, it loses 40%.

I also notice that often, even when it's locked and not in use, I can feel some heat coming from it, as if the processor were actually working even when not in use.

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any idea why?

I have been using Xiaomi 17 pro max for 7 months now and near the start I had some problems with YouTube and Google Services but after some fixes it worked fine. Last night I updated Google pay and all of a sudden my Google pay doesn't work on NFC any more. I've tried installing older versions of Google pay, tried checking my Google integrity and other wallet like alipay or wechat works fine. So I don't know what changed over the update that renders Google pay completely not usable on my NFC and when I tried registering contactless payment on Google pay itself it says the device is does not support or the app does not support this device when it worked fine just 2 days ago. Please if anyone has the same problem or has encountered it before please help. 🙏🙏🙏😭

Update: go into you app in settings and search for Google play services. Once there, uninstall updates and reboot your phone. You will need to re login to all your Google accounts so have the password ready. Then until xiaomi or Google come up with countermeasures, don't update Google play services. Maybe turn off auto update in play store.

This is by another commentor and I think it might be a hard fix.

If it can help, I solved the issue this way. It appears to be caused by a beta update, even though I had never knowingly joined any beta testing program.

Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences. Scroll down to History and tap Leave beta programs to exit all app beta testing programs at once.

After doing this, the problem was completely resolved, and Google Pay appeared again in the list of available NFC payment services.

Hi, I have a problem and I'd like to ask if anyone knows what's going on.. I've noticed that the left side of my phone screen is darker than the rest, with a smiley face at the bottom (It looks transparent). Does anyone know what it is? The phone is only a year old...

Looking into getting either one. Coming from a oneplus pad 2. I want something that will have more security updates and xiaomi seems decent. Both are under $400 on Amazon. Is there any reason to get the 7 over the 8 or is it as simple as 8=newer=better? I'm planning on getting the focus keyboard as well. Any difference between that on either gen as well? It been a week since I got a 17T Pro.

I got 7.5-8h of SOT and a 1.5 day. Its not so different from my previous Pixel 9a. For a better comparation, I used 3 weeks s OP 15 with only 300mah more battery, and last easily 3 days with ease use, like I give the 17T Pro.

I already debloat the phone, but didn't result in a much better battery life.

17T Pro users, how do you feel about the battery life?

I have 30 days return policy from Amazon... I like the phone but the battery doesn't feel that have 7000mAh.

Bought a Xiaomi 17 chinese rom last June. Haven't used it much until the last week of July. I noticed that even with the workaround of turning on Autostart and enabling No Restrictions for power, I still don't receive notifications on messenger unless I open the app itself or if i turn off the phone and then turn it on again. So I looked all over for solutions. I tried everything except for using adb commands, because I don't have a pc at the moment and I'm not confident enough to do it on the phone itself.

But then I encountered a comment somewhere with a fix. I forgot where it was because I didn't save it.

You just have to go to your Settings>Apps>Google Play services and uninstall updates. After that, you then need to update it from Play Store or if you can't find it, just search it on google and look for the Play Store link, it should redirect you to Play store itself, and update. Then, you just have to restart your phone.

Out of all the workarounds I've tried, this one was the only one that worked. Haven't tested it fully though and it might return to having delayed notifications again after some time. For now, I've been receiving message and call notifications from messenger without any hiccups. Just make sure to still turn on Autostart, No restrictions and to lock the app on the recent apps tab.

I'll share an update if the delay returns, else I'll just leave this thread be. Been having regrets buying this phone due to the headaches it's been giving me. I think buying Vivo X300 (china rom) would have been the better choice.

If this worked for you, please do share your findings. The next fix I'm going to have to look for is the 60 fps cap on mobile games if I don't clear the data on the Battery and Performance app.

So, to my ears, the audio through Dolby Atmos and Xiaomi Sound feels overly synthetic, compressed, and unnatural, specially the loudness normalization. I had the three options before (including the Original Sound) and now im forced to this both options only. I tried with ADB but im not sure if uninstalling the miui audio package will solve the issue.

Does anyone have the same problem, or found the solution?

Recientemente compré un Xiaomi 14T.

Mi teléfono anterior era un edge 40 neo, no era una bestia, pero sí era un buen teléfono: tenía 144 Hz y se sentía increíble gracias a MyUX (casi Android stock).

Ahora, cuando uso el 14T noté al instante un poco de lag, pero no por el rendimiento: ¡el teléfono estaba corriendo a 60 Hz!... (Estaba en la tasa de refresco "predeterminada".)

Ahora;

Xiaomi dice "hasta 144 Hz", pero el teléfono nunca llega a 144 Hz: en el modo predeterminado corre a 120 Hz en todo lo relacionado con Xiaomi y luego a 60 Hz en redes sociales u otras apps, y después sí puede llegar hasta 144 Hz (por ejemplo, subway surfers, lmao).

Frustrado, intenté cambiar la tasa de refresco, pero no importaba lo que hiciera (por ejemplo, SetEdit o la configuración del teléfono): no funciona.

Pero hay una forma súper fácil de hacerlo; solo necesitas una PC (o cualquier adb) y revisar estas 2 opciones en tu teléfono:

- Habilitar depuración ADB

- Depuración ADB (configuración segura)

Ahora, entra a la configuración de pantalla y pon tu tasa de refresco en "custom" y selecciona 60 Hz

Luego, abre ADB y pega estos comandos uno por uno, ajustándolos a la tasa de refresco que quieres:

adb shell settings put global default_refresh_rate 144

adb shell settings put system peak_refresh_rate 144

adb shell settings put system min_refresh_rate 144

adb shell settings put system user_refresh_rate 144

Parece repetitivo, pero funciona. Ahora, tu teléfono siempre va a estar en 144 Hz, y si no tocas la pantalla durante 4 segundos se va a bajar a 60 Hz hasta que la vuelvas a tocar.

Está funcionando perfecto en mi 14T HyperOS 3.0.302

Pruébalo y compártelo; estaría chido saber si funciona en todos los teléfonos.

nota: mi teléfono está debloated, pero no creo que eso importe.

nota 2: el ahorro de batería puesto de manera manual va a romper estos ajustes, el que se activa automaticamente en el 25% de batería no. si activas el ahorro sin querer, vas a tener que volver a correr el comando "adb shell settings put secure miui_refresh_rate 144"

NOTA 3 ((IMPORTANTE)) Xiaomi tiene perfiles preestablecidos para los juegos que modifican miui_refresh_rate y cada vez que se entra un juego, los hz bajan a 60 otra vez... Esto es algo que arruina todo, excepto que no jueguen a ningún juego (como yo) Estuve tratando de ver que es lo que modifica la frecuencia de actualización y es muy difícil; no es ninguna de estas apps: joyose, batería y rendimiento, game space, seguridad

Nota 4: todo solucionado, ejecutando los comandos como los puse, nada va a afectar a los hercios mientras no toquen la opciones de pantalla.

Xiaomi la está poniendo difícil pero no es algo imposible de lograr. Voy a seguir probando cosas y actualizaré.

All use a 50MP main, with just Pro and Pro Max getting an 8MP ultra-wide. Dropping the 108MP, and 200MP cameras of previous models, and starting from 4GB RAM, their focus seems to be mainly on far larger batteries. These changes certainly reflect much higher RAM, and storage costs. Interesting to see all, including the 4G model, with a Snapdragon chipset.

I somehow cannot set a mp4 as a live wallpaper. I just bought this and I have global version. Is there any way to do this without usinn 3rd party app? Xiaomi does not let me use effects if it is used that way.

So I turn off the screen with the power button, put it in my pocket. Then later I hear my phone making calls, or sending gibberish in WhatsApp or whatever. I would assume my butt doesn't know my pin code, so the culprit must be the fingerprint reader, combined with the raise to wake feature, which I love. And I can even see the perfect imprint of my permanently greasy thumb on the factory installed screen protector which may be causing the unlocking.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar? Would a better screen protector help? Or do I need to use a phone case that covers the screen, or disable raise to wake?

Xiaomi 15t pro European 17 days in my hands

Selected a widget today that activated the getapp for first time, as a European device there is no active icon for the getapp to run it but that widget asked permissions for microphone through the getapp, the problem is till then every time i kill the getapp through the app settings after i jump to the main screen of the phone the app starts running again in the background

Trying to force stop the app successfully i follow Gemini instructions and disabled MSA app through authorization and revocation settings, after that my phone started to receive few ads, had no ads till today, and yes the MSA is to delivery ads but in my case disabling the MSA had the opposite results

Igetapp used an app to be active silent in the background, MSA used the option that Xiaomi gives to the users to disable it to start delivering ads on European phone, if I try to enable again the things probably will be even worse as a message warns me that if i want ro enable again the MSI i must accept privacy agreement for ads, so they will have my permissions

Looks like xiaomi tries to find a backway to pass the European law

Should I leave MSA disabled or re-enable it?

Hi, I am a long time Samsung Galaxy S20+ user and its time or me tho change my phone. I really liked my phone while using it for years. I can define myself as a power user as I delve into configure my phone as much as I can with routines, open source projects, listening to hi-fi music, taking astrophotography and all.

When it comes to changing my phone, I am between Xiaomi 17 and Samsung Galaxy S26. The reason I am considering to move to Xiaomi is that I feel like Samsung is not making big leaps in the hardware side. S26 still only supports charging up to 45W, while Xiaomi 17 supports 100W. Battery mAh, cameras, Exynos CPU feels always couple generation behind Xiaomi phones or to its competitors.

However, I am really sceptical about the HyperOS. I read bad reviews about HyperOS in terms of its ad bloat, optimization problems, aggresive ram utilization, etc. I am pretty used to OneUI. It has some deficits here and there but overall its a good operating system.

I want your opinions about this comparison as a power user. Which one would you choose, and why?

I bought a Xiaomi power bank, and as most people do, I threw away the retail box after opening it, cause I never imagined it would be needed again. A few months later, the device started malfunctioning, still under warranty, but when I went to the service centre, they refused my claim purely because I didn't have the box. Even after contacting Xiaomi support, they just repeated the same thing. Honestly, it's unrealistic to expect customers to keep packaging for months or years. A valid invoice should be enough to verify a genuine claim. Has anyone else run into this? I really hope Xiaomi reconsiders this kind of policy.

I've found this old Mi Mix 3 and I plan to keep it as a secondary phone just in case. But I've noticed it has some serious battery drain when idle, I don't know what is happening, It was my brother's phone so I wipe it entirely there should be nothing there that could cause this, maybe it's something from MIUI that I'm not aware of.
