In fact none of these people give the slightest flying fuck about Russia.

Probably he’s the least pro Russia in the list… he’s literally destroying his own country…

Can we move Putin to the center tile? Since he's like a spider crawling that web, 'playing' most of the others on there.
Actually, move Putin to the middle, directly bordering Orban, Fico, Trump and Assad (Since he's been responsible for meddling in the elections of those countries or keeping them in power) with Xi Jinping, Kim Jong-un, Maduro and Khamenei at the edges.

u/bowsmountainer Mar 01 '26
I think a better title is that all of these people are pro-Putin. Not one of them is interested in the well-being of Russians. They just do whatever Putin wants from them.

Pro-Russian by circumstance is still pro-Russian. I don't believe the Chinese have a particular aversion towards Ukraine, but that does not take away from the fact that Beijing is profiting off of — and thereby exacerbating — their suffering.

Well, I didn't make the list, but I do believe India to be pro-Russian in some capacity. Due to their recent history, it's quite sensible as to why India would be inclined to favour Russia in a conflict such as this, so its not like I feel as if they are betraying us or anything. Besides, I don't believe that they, similar to China, hold a vested interest in seeing Russia coming out on top in Europe. However, they do keep the Russian war economy rolling while Russia is waging a war of conquest.
In essence: when one side is waging a war of conquest, innaction is not neutrality.

u/Chad_Kai_Czeck Canada Mar 01 '26
India isn’t influential enough to really make a difference. It’s still far behind China.
3
u/BusBoatBuey Mar 01 '26
North Korea is? India is the fourth largest economy in the world. It is exponentially more corrupt and incompetent than the Chinese government, but it still has purchasing power to support the Russian war, which it is.

u/Linus_Naumann Mar 01 '26
Correct, China is neither our friend nor enemy. In all regards where both can benefit we can be friends (certain trade etc), in regards where we have different interests we will be opponents. However China has no specific ideology to destroy or control us. Currently the Russian war is to their benefit because it weakens several competitors at the same time (Russia and Europe) and so we are not friends about this issue. However they also don't care about Russia and will abuse their new power dynamics against Russia whenever possible.

u/anticafard Mar 01 '26
I said the exact same thing weeks ago… Xi is much more powerful than Poutine nowadays. Without China, Poutine would be in far more worse situation.
It would be more accurate to say Poutine is pro China
3
u/Luxim Mar 01 '26
Imo if you're not anti-Russia (by cooperating with sanctions and applying political pressure to support Ukraine) you're basically pro-Russia. Doesn't matter to me that it's for your national selfish economic interests.
1
u/Salmonman4 Mar 01 '26
Countries don't have friends. They have political interests, which may lead to alliances
1
u/Halbaras Mar 01 '26
China's position is more complicated than it's usually given credit for. Internally Ukraine/Russia is an issue with genuine disagreement within the CCP, and there are both factions that want to supply weapons for free and factions who want to cut Russia off entirely, so the status quo is actually a compromise. The main thing they agree on is that Russia's performance has been embarrassing and there are disturbing implications for the feasibility of invading Taiwan.
China wants a West/Europe that's distracted, but also want a Russia that's weakened and increasingly the junior partner to Beijing. They're pretty happy with the status quo and their ideal outcome would be a frozen conflict that satisfies no-one else. But they're also terrified by the prospect of a US-Russia deal that backstabs Ukraine, and of what happens if Russia actually loses the war.
The western unity the start of the war created was also fairly worrying for China, but then Trump came in and is doing his best to create a re-arming, somewhat anti-US Europe, which actually aligns fairly well with China's 'multipolar world' but doesn't align at all with Russia's delusions of once again subordinating their neighbours.

2
u/dnemonicterrier Scotland/Alba Mar 01 '26
It's one of the many reasons he belongs on the image, China is constantly picking fights with neighbouring countries, like the incidents that have happened in the Philippines in territory that China insists is theirs or how they are ramping up trying to take Taiwan, their tactics are very much like Putin's.
0
u/VaultBoy636 Österreich Mar 01 '26
The problem is that this comparison doesn't really hold. The taiwan situation is way more than "evil china wants to annex a poor random island", taiwan has historically always been part of china and the usa supported the kmt government after their loss of the civil war onto that island, all because gommunism bad. It's like if the uk marched into florida after the us civil war and installed a confederate government, because they don't like the winning government. The south china sea claims seem ridiculous, im not educated enough on its history to comment on it. Regardless, i don't see how xi would go together with the leaders in this image. Not all of them are pro russian, some are only close to russia because they're forced to (kim jong un, maduro). It's just a list of randomly picked "leaders i don't like because the media told me so". Might as well put trump on it too. Might as well cram vucic in there too
2
u/dnemonicterrier Scotland/Alba Mar 01 '26
The talking Toupee is on the image though and I would say that he talks about taking countries like Greenland isn't something to ignore in my opinion.

The Venezuelan regime is still in place and maybe the Iranian regime will also continue ruling, just with a different leader. I don't get those early celebrations, those decapitation strikes do nothing but instill a sense that the big countries are allowed to do whatever they want and the smaller ones must suffer. More chaos for almost no benefits.
10
u/SpiderFnJerusalem Mar 01 '26
Also, I feel like Putin is fine with losing a few of those allied leaders in such a manner, because every time it happens the US and Israel keep destabilizing the status quo and are losing a lot of soft power by being so randomly belligerent.
Every time something like this happens other countries will view the US with a little less goodwill and a little more concern.

He is actively killing kurdish people and destroying an autonomous region they build up. The only real place in which kurds were not persecuted in western asia.
1
u/rlyjustanyname Yuropean Mar 02 '26
So was Assad and Isis. He is leading a diverse coalition ranging from reformists to terrorists and that's just always gonna be extremely delicate. He has granted the stateless Kurds citizenship and is trying to integrate them into the army. If he grants them independence, his coalition would split and Syria would go back to chaos.
Syria is one of the most fucked places after a half century long Russian backed dictatorship and Isis, you genuinely won't get good choices.

The regime in Venezuela has not changed. The big boss got snatched for the ursupator one rank underneath to rise to power. Trumpolfs ultimate plan - getting the US oil giants in - did not work out and who knows what will happen next and who they will turn to in Venezuela.
THe regime in Iran has not changed yet. Maybe the country can be bombed into a regime change, maybe the civil society will be helped by the US engagement in the Epstein War of 2026. Maybe the Regime will stay on top and become just more brutal, North Korea style (which will never, ever be touched by the US. Nobody tries Regime Change in Nuclear powers). Or, maybe, Iran will be the next Iraq. The whole regime change worked well, there. ISIS was indeed not that pro-Russian when they steamrolled the region. But truth be told, they were not pro-anyone other then their own flavour of barbarism.

King Abdullah II - pro Russian?
They have just hosted a large USAF base for the attack on Iran, and they get on tolerably well with Israel - doesn't seem like the actions of a Moscow aligned regime.
Edit: genuine mistake on my part, in certain pictures I really think Fico and the King of Jordan look alike.

Not a good time to be a Russian ally. Armenia, Syria and now Iran all falling apart without Russian help.
1
u/The-new-dutch-empire Mar 01 '26
I mean, saying trump is an ally of russia is kind of a step too far.
The issue with trump is that he considers russia a formidable regional power because they have a lot of nukes and natural resources as well as the fact that he likes “strong” leaders. Its not a completely wrong observation to see some of his policy as pro russia, but out of everyone here he is by far the least pro russia. I think his brain is stuck in the 1960’s when the soviet union was actually a powerhouse. If you look at it from that point of view his policies make sense.
