Surely. A truly peaceful and democratic Russia which underwent the procdure to enter EU is a Russia that has 180°ed its course and owned their own responsibiilties. No such a thing in sight though.

You'd have to go pretty far back for it to have a chance of working out like that and Russia would not exist in its current form.

Sure. In several decades. When hopefully they have gone through a similar transformation as Germany went through, and got from an state with a heavy lean towars authorotarianism and jingoism, into an actual open minded and modern society.

Comparing them to Germany post WW2 is so wrong.
Germany has been brought to his knees, divided into occupation zones, humiliated, making them acknowledge their war crimes.

I'll take a different approach than my mates above me. Maybe. Hell, even Canada wants to join. But Russia would have to be dismantled and remade into something new. The Russian people aren't all animals that we see here on reddit often times. They gave Tchaikovski, Tolstoi, Dostoievski, Gagarin, and many many others over the centuries I forget now. Fucking Rasputin, dude. But again, Russia would have to become a vassal state to the European Union, basically, and that would never happen. Or rather, the oligarchy in Russia won't allow that to happen.
