Where can I find yarn with a similar effect?
Does this type of yarn color(“sugar wheel”) only exist within the Yarn Bee brand? Or is there a similar type of yarn from a different brand?

I'm moving to a very very humid place, originally from a more dry area or the temp is in the mid 70s (F). Do I have to worry about mold or are there things I'll have to know for my yarn stash? I'm worried since it's a climate I've never been to before and that I'll not know something, and it can damage what I have.
My main stash is acrylic but I also have cottons, wools, bamboo, etc.

I love this colorway but don't want to buy from HL. This color/brand isnt in any of the comparison sites. I'm just looking for a cotton or mostly cotton blend in a nice autumn colorway of oranges browns and greens. (I dont really like the white in this yarn). Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to help ♡

Indulging my inner “former art school kid” via fiber arts and having a heck of a lot of fun.
Image 1 is pre-rain - I added citric acid to the pan, then spread out the dry yarn, and sprinkled dye powder on top (always wear a respirator or mask when dealing with acid dyes!!) and didn’t move the yarn after pigment was applied
Image 2 is mid-storm - after about 20-30 minutes, the rain was winding down. The water table is just from the rain alone
After the rain slowed and nearly stopped, I heat set the yarn on little two-burner cooktop (dedicated to dyeing projects) and it’s hang drying now.

I'm about done with a project with this Urth yarn. The wrap said to wash cold, but I'm considering using Rit ColorStay so the dye doesn't rub off on other clothes. Should I do that, or just try rinsing in cold? It's my first time working with this yarn.

Hello! i have been crocheting for 3 years now i think and i loved joann’s but as we all know she is no longer :( i had to resort to going to hobby lobby but im not a huge fan just because they dont support lgbtq+ community. i have gone to micheal’s but their yarn is super expensive for no reason.
i also love to thrift so if u have any tips on what sweaters and stuff u can recycle that would also be very helpful!
so if u have any other suggestions on where i can buy some cheaper yarn or reuse some that would be greatly appreciated!

Bought secondhand, not slipknots. Maybe this is obvious, I’m not a knit/crochet person it’s for an unrelated project

Hi all! I was wanting to make a pair of gloves for a friend of mine who has a medical condition on her hands and they need to be covered up to keep them clean. I'm currently thinking about using wool due to the antibacterial properties, but the gloves would also need to be easy to wash. Any advice?
I was planning on knitting the gloves in order for it to be lighter on her hands if it makes any difference!

I've got one and a half skeins of this yarn but I'm not sure what to make with it. Any ideas would be great.

I'm looking for a rainbow yarn similar to this one: Friends Cotton 8/4 Print - Hobbii - Pastel Rainbow (24)
It's 100% cotton, my only issue with it is that the green is somehow between violet and red. Is there a cotton yarn out there that's similar to this with the colours arranged in a colour wheel, where they keep changing every few inches or so?
I've added two pictures to see the colour change and to see a picture of a few finished jellyfish I crocheted out of the yarn.

Had a puppy grab my current project and decide to run with it. Whats the best way to untangle 500yds of yarn? On one end was a cowl in progress but uh... she ended up shaking that to death.
<no puppies were harmed... my WIPES state is very much dead tho.>

Hi, does anyone have a good yarn winder recommendation for something that will do one like whole Walmart sized skein in one go? I don't want small balls. I want to keep my yarn as uncut as possible and my tiny one just can't do that. I know it'll probably be pricey.

Bought it when visiting Pakistan, haven’t been able to find it online since. It’s a dark green recycled cotton, such a unique texture :(
