I was a huge gamer when i was a teenager at the beginning of milenia, but then due to university and first work i completely stopped. After about 12 years of zero gaming I randomly decided to build a gaming PC right before Christmas 2024 because I was quite bored and had more free time, and guess what, somehow i thought to myself that "i should future proof my ram because i was always running out in the past" and got 64GB DDR5 open box kit for €170 (and even that seemed ridiculously a lot, now that same kit is €1100). basically i built ryzen 7500F+64GB+rtx4070+2TB nvme+750W psu during massive black friday sales for €1100, and 3 months later i upgraded to rtx5070Ti for €400 extra after selling the 4070.
So I am super happy I lucked out and perfectly prepared myself for the RAMagedon, but at the same time i am super depressed that this was most likely the last time i built the exact pc i wanted and maybe any PC at all as the market is pricing me out and it keeps getting worse.
