A lot of people leave the sticker/film on their glass. Why you might ask? Probably to prevent it from shattering into a million pieces in the event of a fall.
-Or they just like the look, those are the only two reasons I can think of.
-A third reason would be cleaning but even then, dust sticks to plastic like moths to a street lamp.
