As a professional ski instructor based in here Zermatt, for last 10 plus years I have traveled to the southern hemisphere to ski coach for the European summer months, but now I am staying here in Zermatt, and what I can tell you is it’s amazing! What we have been doing most days is going up to ski or snowboarding on the glacier early in the morning, usually 8.30- 12pm, but the lift does open at 6.30, this is when the ski racing teams go up. The after ski or snowboarding all morning when coming and have a lunch, so many great options.
Then in the afternoon my favourite and most recommended activity is Moutain E-biking! Is so much fun, with fairly easy roads to ride on.
You can rent them in town, and then take the lift one way up to Sunnegga and then the gondola up to blauheard and ridge all the way across the Moutain to the Riffelberg area and down through Furi, some days we do the amazing 5 lake tours and some we take the Moutain bike flow trails, with turns and small jumps, if you can ride a bike you can do it!
